  • Patent number: 11367499
Abstract: A computing system is disclosed. The computing system includes a computation unit, one or more processors, a volatile memory, and a non-volatile memory communicatively coupled to the one or more processors and having instructions stored thereon, which when executed by the one or more processors, causing the one or more processor to instantiate a container and perform at least one of a volatile memory checking procedure or a non-volatile memory checking procedure. The volatile memory checking procedure includes checking the first physical address space for errors, loading a container into volatile memory containing the first physical address space if an error is determined, rechecking the first physical address space for error, loading the container to a second physical address space and updating a memory management unit if an error in the first physical address space is determined.

  • Patent number: 11050443
Abstract: A system may include a node. The node may include a first software-defined radio (SDR) configured to support transmit and receive communications using a beyond line of sight (BLOS) waveform. The node may include a second SDR to support transmit and receive communications using a line of sight waveform while simultaneously being configured to support receive communications using a narrowband (NB) ultra high frequency (UHF) satellite communication (SATCOM) waveform. The node may include a SATCOM antenna configured to transmit and receive the communications using the BLOS waveform and to receive the communications using the NB UHF SATCOM waveform. The node may include a low noise amplifier (LNA) and triplexer assembly. The first and second SDRs may share the SATCOM antenna and the LNA and triplexer assembly.

  • Patent number: 10820160
Abstract: A system and method for HF positioning characterizes the undulations of the ionosphere in real-time to determine the refraction altitude of a specific HF frequency at a specific time of day at a specific position. The system accounts for the seasonal (summer, winter) and daily (daylight, night, grey-line transition) variations of the ionosphere determining a highly accurate timing error relative to a timing reference. The system employs a novel approach that is capable of passively and accurately determining a position anywhere in the world without use of a GNSS signal receiving known-time transmissions of narrow band HF timing signals refracted via ionospheric skywave.

  • Patent number: 8559921
Abstract: A method of operation for managing network security features is disclosed. A communication device such as a mobile telephone or a modem can establish a position as a communications intermediary supporting communications between a first communication device such as a personal computer and a third communication device such as a server. The intermediary can detect a security feature between these “end devices”, and disable security features on intermediate segments of the end-to-end communication link. The end-to-end communication may utilize a virtual private network as a security feature and other security features on the intermediate segments can be disabled when they provide negligible additional security for the communications.

  • Patent number: 8086234
Abstract: Methods (400, 500) and corresponding systems (100) for handing off between a broadcast network and a cellular network include receiving, in a cooperation platform, incoming data from a content provider. Broadcast data corresponding to the incoming data is then sent to a broadcast network output for broadcasting to one or more subscribers including, a subscriber station. Handoff information from the cellular network is received in the cooperation platform, and, in response to the handoff information, cellular data corresponding to the incoming data is sent to a cellular network output for transmission to the subscriber station. The handoff information can correspond to a user request for handoff sent from the subscriber station via the cellular network, or can be a request for handoff sent from the cellular network based upon a loading level within one or more of the broadcast network and the cellular network.
