  • Publication number: 20090008316
Abstract: A filter plate for filtration (100) of a fluid as subject of the present invention comprises a first filter membrane (110) and a second filter membrane (120). The filter membranes are substantially planar and substantially-parallel. The filter membranes comprise metal fibers. The filter plate comprises a reinforcing means (130, 131) interposed between the filter membranes. The first and second filter membrane are attached to the reinforcing means. The reinforcing means creates at least two flow channels (132) between the filter membranes for guiding a fluid towards the edge of the filter plate.

  • Patent number: 5425509
Abstract: A spool (10) is filled with an elongated metal element (12) which is wound onto the spool with a plurality of windings. The plurality of windings end with a final winding (22) and n windings (24) preceding the final winding ("n preceding windings"), n is hereby greater than or equal to one. The final winding (22) comprises a beginning part (26), a middle part (28) and a trailing end (20). The middle part (28) is under the n preceding windings (24) in order to secure the final winding to the rest of the elongated element. The beginning part (26) and the trailing end (20) are at the same side of the n preceding windings (24).

  • Patent number: 4936358
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for securing the end of wire coiled onto a spool, whereby the last winding of the wire coiled onto the spool is taken up together with at least one preceding winding and connected thereto, after which the wire is cut between the connection thus made and the wire feed apparatus, whereby the length of the windings to be connected to each other is increased under tension and the additional length of wire is concentrated where the connection is to be formed, that the additional length of the windings to be connected to each other is held under tension, and that during the connection operation the additional, free length of wire of the windings to be connected to each other is incorporated in the connection thus formed.
