    Abstract: A weatherstrip and associated method of forming the weather-strip includes a body having a core formed of a first material and at least partially encapsulated in an extrusion material. A bright strip or metal show surface is integrated within the extrusion body to provide an aesthetically pleasing bright strip. The end of the bright strip is formed at an end of the weatherstrip to provide a one-piece structure.
