  • Publication number: 20180110951
Abstract: An oxygen face mask and component system is provided, the mask is designed to cover a user's nose and at least partially cover a user's mouth, the mask having lateral sampling ports, an oxygen port, and a facial access opening superior to the oxygen port. The opening may be sufficiently large to allow a surgical or diagnostic procedure to be performed on part of a user's face or to allow a physician's hands or other caregiver hand's to manipulate a scope or other devices into a user's mouth. Additional components are further provided, including a colorimetric C02 detector, a sealing cap with or without a resilient sealing flap, a capnography gas analysis unit, a non-rebreather valve, a pulmonary function module, nebulizer, a gas scavenging system, a gas reservoir system, a gas filter, sample lines that are either straight or at an angle, and an aerosol mask platform; and methods of making and using a face mask are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20150232663
Abstract: A fabric-matrix composite structure [10] for making parts [13] suitable for use in hostile, high-temperature environments, such as rocket exhaust nozzles. The structure [10] includes a fabric [11] formed of polyacrylonitrile fiber, especially a polyacrylonitrile fiber that has been oxidized, and especially a combination of polyacrylonitrile fibers that have been oxidized to different degrees. The structure [10] also includes a binder [12] that impregnates the fabric [11]. The binder [12] might be a phenolic resin. The structure is formed [30], partially cured [40], formed into a product [50], and finish cured [60].

  • Publication number: 20140259372
Abstract: A doorless, flexible shower stall for aircraft is shown, which shower stall is made of lightweight, 2-core-2 materials. The shower stall flexes as the aircraft flexes up to as much as five (5%) percent. The direction of discharge of water from the shower head is so the water will not be discharged out the doorless opening for the shower. Slopes of the floor is enough to overcome the angle of the aircraft during flight and still drain. The shower stall is composed of large pieces that are assembled and sealed when installed on the aircraft.
