  • Patent number: 5836364
Abstract: A refillable bottle constructed to be capable of holding fluids above atmospheric pressure has a threaded cap. The top of the threaded cap has at least one valve having a single resealable passageway for filling, pressurizing and emptying the container. The valve is capable of being opened by a probe which engages the valve and pushes into the cap, the valve being closed when not acted upon by the probe. A plurality of vent holes are positioned in the top so as to be adjacent the mouth of the bottle when the cap is placed thereon. A releasable sealing ring is sized and positioned between the mouth and the cap so as to close the vent holes when the cap is fully threaded onto the neck and allow gas within the container to escape through the vent holes when the cap is loose.

  • Patent number: 4984717
Abstract: A pressurized, refillable, reusable container is disclosed which is comprised of a top, a base and at least one wall attached between the top and base which together define an enclosed space. A valve is provided through the top of the container which valve has a single resealable passageway for filling, pressurizing and emptying the container and means for attachment of the valve to a discharge nozzle or discharge tube through which a liquid stream may be carried from the valve to a remote location and there discharged.

  • Patent number: 4982877
Abstract: A replaceable fluid container is described for use in a plunger-type fluid dispenser of the type disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 4,793,518. The fluid container is generally rectangular in shape and has a recess in the top surface from which a neck extends. The neck and an associated closure are sized to terminate flush with a plane containing the top surface of the container and is positioned for alignment with specific elements of the dispenser. The container, either alone or in conjunction with a spacer, preferably has a width of a intergral multiple of about 21/8 inches, a height of about 91/4 inches, and a depth of about 5 to about 61/2 inches.

  • Patent number: 4940212
Abstract: An apparatus for making carbonated beverages is disclosed which is comprised of a refillable bottle having a resealable passageway for filling, pressurizing and emptying the bottle and a carbon dioxide source connected to the bottle through a conduit. Preferably, a rounded interior bottom and projections are provided on the interior of the bottle. A diptube is also provided which preferably has radially extended vanes. The rounded bottom, interior projections and vanes will promote fogging when a bottle containing liquid and carbon dioxide is shaken. Consequently, carbonated water can be made easily by filling the bottle with water and carbon dioxide preferably at 60 p.s.i. and shaking the bottle, then repeating the process until the desired carbonation level is reached.

  • Patent number: 4911212
Abstract: A bottle filling machine is disclosed in which a chamber is provided for receipt of a refillable bottle with a resealable opening through which a probe may extend. Centering means extend into the housing to center the bottle on the base of a chamber. Then a probe extends into the chamber and engages an opening in the refillable bottle to fill and pressurize the bottle. After filling, the probe retracts allowing the filled bottle to be removed from the chamber.

  • Patent number: 4901887
Abstract: A beverage dispensing system is provided which utilizes a modified refrigerator/freezer unit, and a tower mounted on top of the refrigerator. Fluid lines run from pressurized bottles inside the refrigerator to dispensing valves mounted on the tower. Artificial ice extends from the freezer unit into the tower. The dispensing system utilizes the refrigerator section of the refrigerator/freezer to chill the beverage lines and reservoirs contained within the refrigerator, and the freezer section to chill the beverage lines extending into the tower.

  • Patent number: 4793518
Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing flavored beverages and other liquids is disclosed which is comprised of a housing having a base and a front plate with a first slot and a second slot extending at an angle from the first slot. Within the housing on its base are provided at least one container with a plunger-type pump. A tube extends from the pump to an opening in the front plate. Also provided is a nozzle at the opening of the front plate which is connected to a liquid supply source. A valve is attached to the nozzle having an outwardly extending stem which is engaged by a bar pivotally attached to the housing. This bar is substantially parallel to the first slot. Finally, a lever is attached to the housing so that it may extend and move through the first and second slot. The lever is sized and positioned so as to be able to engage and activate a plunger-type pump and the bar when moved downwardly through a second slot.
