  • Patent number: 11377076
Abstract: An air powered landing gear supports a front end a trailer when it is deployed. A cylindrical rod is secured to an underside of the trailer, and a collar assembly rotates around the rod. A leg assembly is rigidly affixed to and extends downwardly from the collar assembly. A pneumatic cylinder extends between the trailer and the leg assembly and is configured to rotate the landing gear from a deployed position, wherein the landing gear supports the front end of the trailer, to a stowed position, wherein the landing gear is rotated upwardly toward the trailer.

  • Publication number: 20220078582
Abstract: Systems and methods are discussed herein for an optimal approach for wireless emergency alerting within cells of wireless communication networks by using a careful estimation of a “true effective radius” of each cell/sector to eliminate broadcasts falling short of alert area boundaries (with users in such gaps in coverage not receiving an alert despite being in the designated alert area). By utilizing true provisioning information of each cell/sector that is at least partly within the alert area boundaries to understand the true effective radii of particular cell sectors can be selected for broadcast of the alert such that the entire alert area is covered for broadcasting of the alert without excessive over-broadcasting, e.g., broadcasting excessively beyond the alert area boundaries. Alerts can then be broadcast within each selected cell sector.

  • Patent number: 11123052
Abstract: Forming a proximal anastomosis on an aortic wall includes method and instrumentation and apparatus for forming an aortic puncture and inserting into the vessel through the puncture a fluid-impervious sealing element with a protruding retainer. An anastomosis of a graft vessel over the puncture is partially completed with the retainer of the sealing element protruding through the partial anastomosis. The retainer facilitates removal of the sealing element from the partial anastomosis prior to completion of the procedure.

  • Patent number: 10875578
Abstract: A trailer chassis is formed from a first main beam disposed diagonally to a longitudinal axis of the trailer and a second main beam disposed diagonally to the longitudinal axis of the trailer. The second main beam crosses with, or is intertwined with, the first main beam, to form a chassis in the shape of an X. The X-shaped chassis has a tighter turn radius and greater resistance to deflection and fracture than conventional trailers that have two main beams extending parallel to one another down the longitudinal axis of the trailer.

  • Patent number: 10506414
Abstract: A wireless relay wirelessly transmits Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS) information to wireless user devices. In the wireless relay, network circuitry wirelessly receives a CMAS broadcast having the CMAS information from a wireless communication network. The network circuitry responsively generates a wireless relay instruction having the CMAS information. The network circuitry transfers the wireless relay instruction to user circuitry in the wireless relay. The user circuitry receives the wireless relay instruction having the CMAS information, and in response, wirelessly transmits the CMAS information to the wireless user devices.

  • Patent number: 10391537
Abstract: A method and system for flanging a metal part is provided to improve the final dimensions of the part to a desired shape. Residual stresses from flanging operations can distort a final shape of the metal part. This disclosure provides an initial flanging step in which metal gainers are formed into the metal during a first flanging step. The metal gainers provide an increased amount of metal at select regions. Then, during a next flanging step, the metal gainers are smoothened or removed during that flanging step while the metal is additionally bent. The metal gainers help combat the residual stresses and allow the flange to better take the desired shape.

  • Patent number: 9834999
Abstract: A post hole digger couples to the power take-off (PTO) shaft of a tractor and uses rotation from the PTO shaft to rotate an auger. A top support arm rotatably coupled to the top pin of the tractor's three point hitch supports the gearbox that translates rotation to the auger. A support frame extends upwardly from the right and left lift arms of the three point hitch and inwardly to support the top support arm from beneath. The support frame is shaped generally as an inverted “U,” with space created between the right and left lift arms to prevent interference with the rotating shaft that translates rotation from the PTO shaft to the gearbox. A shield coupled to the gearbox covers the moving parts of the joint between the rotating shaft and the gearbox and protects users during use of the auger.

  • Patent number: 9456558
Abstract: A stump cutter comprising a cutting head that rotates about a generally vertical axis is provided. The cutting head comprises a plurality of cutting blades that are angled with respect to a backing plate of the cutting head. At least two of the plurality of cutting blades are further angled radially with respect to a center of the cutting head, such that the centermost edges of the cutting blades extend further into a stump than the outermost edges of the cutting blades. The stump cutter is powered solely by the PTO of a tractor.

  • Patent number: 9422015
Abstract: A trailer chassis having a lower frame or roller bogie undergirding an upper frame may be extended to adjust the length of the trailer chassis in response to the weight of a shipping container being transported. The roller bogie is slidably coupled to the upper frame along two side support tubes which have locking assemblies to allow for the locking of the bogie to the upper frame with a dual sided, retractable locking pin. Each side support tube includes a plurality of opposing rollers embedded within each tube and has an upper rotating surface that protrudes through the top surface of the support tube so that as the bogie may be freely moved backwards or forwards relative to the upper frame and can be locked into an extended or retracted position. The movement of the bogie does not affect the position of a shipping container locked onto the chassis because the bogie movement is completely under and independent from the flatbed portion of the chassis supporting a shipping container.

  • Patent number: 9398320
Abstract: A method, system, and computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions for blocking online content based on ratings supplied by the content provider are provided. A content server may communicate a content rating for online content in a response to a request for the online content. The content rating may be communicated as an attribute value within the response header. The content rating may be compared to the rating-permission for the computing device that requested the online content to determine whether the content should be blocked. If the computing device that sent the request is not approved to receive the online content then the online content is blocked.

  • Patent number: 9367489
Abstract: A method, system, and medium are provided for changing the size of media content sent to a mobile device during a media session. In one embodiment, during the media session, the mobile device requests media content that has a second size. In response to the request, the content provider transmits the media content having the second size and discontinues transmission of the media content having the first size. The size of the media content transmitted to the mobile device may be changed multiple times during the presentation of the media content.

  • Patent number: 9232377
Abstract: After receiving an alert for distribution in a target geographic area, a wireless carrier network may identify a first set of one or more coverage areas that are entirely encompassed within the target geographic area and a second set of one or more coverage areas that are only partially encompassed within the target geographic area. In the first coverage-area set, the wireless carrier network may then broadcast the alert in a manner that directs a recipient device to output the alert regardless of the device's location. And in the second coverage-area set, the wireless carrier network may broadcast the alert in a manner that directs a recipient device to output the alert only if the device's location is encompassed within the target geographic area.

  • Patent number: 9163382
Abstract: The gearbox lock mechanism for a post bole auger has a collar coupled to a lower end of a right angle gearbox, the collar rotatable upon operation of the gearbox. The collar comprises a semi-circular outer edge and a fiat side. A male-threaded nipple extends from the collar and threads onto the auger shaft. A lock bar is coupled to the gearbox and acts as a positive lock to lock the collar in place for removal of the shaft from the gearbox. The lock bar is rotatable from a locked position whereby the lock bar is aligned with and contactable with the flat side of the outer edge of the collar, to an unlocked position whereby the lock bar does not contact the flat side of the outer edge of the collar.
