  • Publication number: 20030143893
Abstract: Apparatus, methods and articles of manufacture for a coaxial cable connector that allows variable wire termination orientations are disclosed. A connector housing is used to install the embodiments upon a mating connector, with a cable housing providing contact for a coax cable. A core member provides connection for an inner conductor, and a cap is used to seal the connector, once the cable is installed within the cable housing.

  • Publication number: 20030136349
Abstract: The present invention disclosed an artificial reef system having a plurality of tire casings tethered onto a cable-like line which reef system is supported in an upright position by a flotation device and which artificial reef system is anchored to the bottom of the ocean by another tire casing filled with concrete having an anchoring device disposed on its underside. The cable-like line may be monofilament. The reef system of tire casings is disposed upwardly due to the buoyancy of the flotation means and is free to move with the current in a natural manner to the extent that the cable-like line allows.

  • Patent number: 4307583
Abstract: A fixture for use in mounting an accessory on the frame of an engine or mine and adapted for adjustments for aligning a shaft of the accessory with a power take-off shaft of the machine. The fixture comprises a housing in two parts, one of which is adapted for attachment to the frame of the engine and the other is adapted to receive the accessory. The housing includes means for angularly and laterally positioning the accessory shaft for aligning it in concentricity with the power take-off shaft.

  • Patent number: 4294112
Abstract: Apparatus for testing mating splined parts under rotational torsional loag at selectively variable axial misalignments. The apparatus is in the form of what is commonly known as a four-square test machine to which a locked-in static torque is applied to simulate actual loading on splined connector parts during rotation.

  • Patent number: 4222173
Abstract: A tool for determining misalignment of a coupling bore located in one end a rotatable machine shaft. The tool includes a plurality of radially expandable split rings disposed side-by-side along the outer surface of a hollow, tubular collet body, an elongated mandrel assembly coaxially carried by the collet body, and a dial displacement indicator releasably carried on the mandrel assembly. The mandrel assembly includes a taper or mandrel portion partially disposed within the collet body, a stem portion projecting outwardly from the collet body, a threaded portion disposed adjacent the mandrel portion, and an adjusting nut having a threaded portion engaged with the mandrel assembly threaded portion. The collet body is placed in the shaft coupling bore and the adjusting nut turned so that the mandrel portion is drawn through the collet body, the latter thereby expanding and forcing the rings into "locking" engagement with the wall of the shaft coupling bore.

  • Patent number: 4204589
Abstract: A shaft decoupler wherein driving and driven components having grooved fles are keyed together by rollers held in the grooves by lands between recesses of a retaining assembly that normally rotates with the mentioned components and is momentarily arrested to allow the driving and driven components to advance the roller carrying grooves to alignment with the recesses to effect decoupling. The decoupler is characterized by the use of high strength plastic rollers, cooperating indexing elements to limit relative rotation between the driving component and the retaining assembly, and a solid lubricant filled plastic thrust and journal bearing.
