  • Patent number: 10821863
Abstract: A foamless vehicle seating assembly includes a frame with an inner support member and an outer support member. A first plurality of flexible straps extend about the inner support member of the frame, and a second plurality of flexible straps extend about the outer support member of the frame. At least one strap of the second plurality of flexible straps of the outer support member is adjacent to at least one strap of the first plurality of flexible straps of the inner support member. A retention member is disposed transverse to the inner support member of the frame disposed in a seat, wherein the retention member is displaceable between a design position and a fully deployed position in response to a sudden vehicle deceleration.
