  • Patent number: 4439000
Abstract: A surface mount connector is disclosed for electrically and mechanically interconnecting a mother circuit board with a daughter circuit board. The connector has an elongated housing with an inverted T profile, the cross bar of which engages the mother circuit board and the leg of which has a slot to receive the daughter circuit board. A plurality of terminals are mounted in the connector, each terminal having a first portion lying exposed in the slot and a second portion exposed from the cross bar.

  • Patent number: 4380118
Abstract: A hand tool is disclosed for separately inserting individual replacement terminals into a board mounted connector, the terminals having an active portion for electrically and mechanically engaging the board. The tool has an insertion head with a trident profile formed by two slots between three tines. One tine engages the connector housing and serves as a guide, another tine engages a shoulder of the terminal to apply insertion force, and the last tine engages the free end of the terminal to hold it in a preloaded condition.

  • Patent number: 4191505
Abstract: Wind wheel electric power generator apparatus is disclosed as including a housing rotatably mounted upon a vertically disposed support column. Primary and auxiliary funnel-type, venturi ducts are fixedly mounted upon the housing for capturing wind currents and for conducting the same to a bladed wheel adapted to be operatively connected with generator apparatus. Additional air flows are also conducted onto the bladed wheel, all of the air flows positively effecting rotation of the wheel in a cumulative manner. The auxiliary ducts are disposed at an acute angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the housing, and this feature, together with the rotatability of the housing and the ducts, permits capture of wind currents within a variable directional range.
