Abstract: A vinyl ester resin composition having excellent physical, mechanical and handling properties is provided which comprises: a vinyl ester resin made by condensing an epoxy resin and an ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid; and a thixotropy imparting amount of a thixotropy imparting material selected from at least one condensation product of a sugar alcohol with an aromatic aldehyde.

Abstract: A method for improving the dyeing characteristics of textile materials containing polyolefin fibers is provided wherein the polyolefin fibers are coated with a coating composition consisting essentially of a film forming component containing at least one quaternary ammonium group. A preferred coating composition useful in the practice of the invention further includes a wetting agent and a minor effective amount of a fluorocarbon surfactant. Procedure for forming such coating compositions, application of same to polyolefin fibers, as well as dyeing of the coated polyolefin fibers is disclosed.In one embodiment the film forming component is the reaction product of a chemical substance containing at least one quaternary ammonium group and at least two amino groups having active hydrogen and a polyepoxide having at least two 1,2-epoxy groups per molecule. A method for producing such a film forming component and application of same to a textile material containing polyolefin fibers is also set forth.

Abstract: Additives for lubricants and fuels having the general structure ##STR1## wherein R is H, --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 NH.sub.2 or ##STR2## and R.sub.1 is an alkyl moiety containing at least about 8 carbon atoms or a substantially saturated olefin polymer having an average molecular weight of from about 200 to about 5000. Polyamino substituted cycloaliphatic compounds simultaneously treated with at least one olefin polymer substituted succinic anhydride or at least one alkyl substituted succinic anhydride in which the alkyl moiety contains at least about 8 carbon atoms produce such oil-dispersible compositions.
