  • Publication number: 20160177168
Abstract: A composition is described as including a mixture of citrus terpene hydrocarbons and an alcohol ethoxylate. The alcohol ethoxylate is represented by the formula R(C2H4O)nOH, where R is a branched or linear alkyl chain having from 12 to 15 carbons, and n is from 3 to 14. A method of removing pipe dope from a wellbore surface is also described. The method involves contacting the wellbore surface with the composition, and circulating the composition with respect to the wellbore surface.
