  • Patent number: 12004587
Abstract: A footwear sole structure may include a plurality of discrete hexagonally-shaped sole elements defined by a plurality of sipes. The sipes may include a plurality of sipes that extend in a transverse direction across the sole structure and a plurality of sipes that extend in an oblique direction relative to the transverse sipes. A plurality of sipes may also subdivide the hexagonally-shaped sole elements into one or more diamond-shaped sole element portions. The sole structure may include additional features such as non-hexagonal sole elements and lugs distributed across a bottom surface of the sole structure.

  • Patent number: 5027832
Abstract: A support and drape apparatus which is attached to an operating room table for retaining fluid excess during surgery. The support is a framework of two lateral members and a transverse member attached to each lateral member such that a perimeter is formed in conjunction with the operating room table. A waterproof drape is placed on the framework such that a pocket retains the fluid. The drape may have a water permeable drain. The lateral members have a substantially rigid portion connected to a flexible portion and the transverse member is relatively flexible throughout its length, which allows the framework to give to allow movement by the surgeon without destroying the integrity of the pocket.

  • Patent number: 4872834
Abstract: A recovery boiler port cleaner for a chemical recovery furnace, such as a sulfur-reducing recovery boiler, used in pulp and paper processing. The port cleaner is mounted on an exterior wall of the boiler and is comprised of a stainless steel port cleaning blade attached to a push rod which is slidable in a protective stainless steel sleeve extending into the boiler to a point adjacent a respective air port. A pneumatic cylinder for actuating the push rod is located on a stand-off support structure attached to a flat plate included on a mounting bracket welded to the boiler wall. The support structure acts to protect the air cylinder from the heat of the boiler and reduces the failure rate thereof. Also, a cover is provided on the outside of the stand-off support structure to protect personnel from movement of the push rod when activated. A solenoid valve for energizing the air cylinder is located remotely from the boiler and the mechanical assembly attached to the boiler wall.
