    Abstract: An apparatus is contemplated for creating a structure which simultaneously serves as both a building element and a photovoltaic power source. Components of the invention interface with modules which comprise photovoltaic solar panels. When used collectively, these modules are contemplated as comprising a replacement for a roof or other building component. When the present invention is used, a roof or other building component can be created without the need for a separate underlayment, and without the need for tiles or another outer waterproofing layer. This setup results in power generation, cost savings, and environmental advantages Additionally, embodiments of the invention comprise fixed stop elements which ensure correct placement of modules on a frame assembly. The invention could also include other elements, including water gutters, grab steps which facilitate access, and specially positioned border covers to protect and aesthetically cover wired regions of solar modules.

The USB transceiver station can comprise a microcontroller to manage signaling between the RF front end/baseband processor and the personal computer, as well as a precise timing mechanism to assist the synchronization of femtocell timing with the surrounding macrocellular network, if it is present. The USB transceiver station can have a compact form factor that that facilitates a high degree of portability by the subscriber, such as being readily attachable to their keychain.

    Abstract: A valvegear for an engine of reciprocating piston type is disclosed. The valve gear includes a cam, a camshaft and a cam piston, where the cam is mounted to rotate on the camshaft and is in contact with the cam piston. The cam piston is movably arranged within a pressure chamber and is adapted to be moved by the cam away from the camshaft to pressurize a fluid within the pressure chamber. The valvegear further includes an engine valve which is movable between an open position and a closed portion, a restoring spring associated with each engine valve, a valve piston which is movable arranged in an actuating chamber, the engine valve is arranged to be moved into the open position against the force of the restoring spring by the valve piston, where the valve piston is arranged to move in the actuating chamber by the pressure produced in said pressure chamber by movement of said cam piston.

    Abstract: An automotive valve rocker arm comprises a valve engagement portion and a cam engagement portion which are mounted for independent rocking movement about a rocker shaft. One of the cam engagement portion and valve engagement portion affords a first bush, which accommodates and is rotatable about the rocker shaft, and the other of which affords a second bush, which accommodates the first bush and is rotatable about the first bush and thus about the rocker shaft also. Selectively actuable locking means are accommodated within the space defined by the outer surface of the second bush and are movable between a first position in which relative movement of the valve engagement portion and the cam engagement portion is permitted and a second position in which they are locked together and such relative movement is prevented.

    Abstract: A novel reusable, rollable wrap for securing items stacked on a rectangular pallet. The wrap includes a flexible sheet, having ends which are secured together by detachable means, such as a zipper, and a plurality of parallel, stiff, elongate corner support members which are secured to the sheet at spaced-apart intervals therealong between the ends of the sheet. One set of ends of the members surroundingly engages the corners of the pallet with the members thereby defining the shape of the wrap above the pallet. The apparatus further includes releasable fastener means mounted on the sheet for securing the sheet to itself when the wrap is in a rolled condition for storage.
