  • Patent number: 11073299
Abstract: A plug which fits into the top aperture of an air vent to be mounted on an air flow pipe or flume prevents cement flowing into the vent when a concrete floor is laid. The vent has a peripheral protrusion and a top flange. The plug protrusion snap fits into a in the top of the vent aperture and can be pulled out when the concrete is set. The plug has sides which extend upward an outward from the vent top so the laid concrete floor has a slot communicating with the vent and the vent top is installed below the floor and thus cannot be easily damaged by storing and removal of produce. The vent is inserted into a plate covering a flume where the plate has ribs and protrusions locating the required rebar and end tabs holding the plates end to end.

  • Patent number: 10544959
Abstract: A plug for an air vent which fits into the top aperture of the air vent prevents cement flowing into the vent when a concrete floor is laid. The vent has a peripheral protrusion and a top flange. The plug protrusion snap fits into a concave groove in the top of the vent aperture. The flange extends upward an outward from the vent top so the laid concrete floor has a slot communicating with the vent and the vent top is installed below the floor and thus cannot be easily damaged by storing and removal of produce.

  • Patent number: 10214985
Abstract: There is disclosed a connector which is sometimes referred to as a pitless unit in industry for use in a pumping system including a pump, well casing, a discharge pipe to guide liquid horizontally away from the pump, and a drop pipe to guide the liquid up from the pump towards the discharge pipe. The connector acts to connect the drop pipe and discharge pipe in fluidic communication while allowing the pump there beneath to be accessed from the surface of the ground. The connector features an outer housing and internal spool which is locatable in the housing in a seated position. An interior surface of the housing and surfaces of the spool which collectively define a chamber through which the liquid flows, when the spool is in the seated position, are weld cladded with a metallic cladding material so as to resist corrosion and erosion of these wetted surfaces of the connector.

  • Patent number: 9445574
Abstract: An attic inlet has a square tube to communicate between an attic and a room through a substrate, with a lid permitting airflow when open, and not when closed. The lid is moved by upper pull bars and lower connecting bars attached to the lid. Upper pull bars and lower connecting bars are attached by pivot pins to yoke arms pivoting about parallel axles. Springs may urge the lid into closed default position. An axle with an associated stub arm may be rotated by cord to open the lid. Alternatively a counterweighted arm may urge the lid into closed default position, where negative pressure can open the lid. The lid is attached by tabs on the connecting bars passing through the lid, and lid locking bars engaging apertures in the tabs.

  • Publication number: 20120178356
Abstract: An attic inlet has a square tube to communicate between an attic and a room through a substrate, and a lid to permit airflow through the inlet when open, and prevent it when closed. The lid is moved by an upper pull bar and lower connecting bars attached to the lid. Upper pull bar and lower connecting bars are attached by clevis pins to yoke arms pivoting about parallel axles. Movement of the upper pull bar rotates the yoke arms, and so lowers the connecting bars and the attached lid. Springs urge pull bar and lid into closed default position, while a cord is used to displace pull bar and lid into open position. The lid is attached by tabs on the connecting bars passing through the lid, and lid locking bars engaging apertures in the tabs.

  • Patent number: 7798533
Abstract: A ventilation chimney or exhaust fan flue section for hog barns has inner and outer plastic tubes formed by edge welding plastic sheets. A snug fitting insulation sheet is slid between the tubes. Collars of male and female coupling elements are inserted into the ends of the section between the inner and outer tubes and secured by screws passing through the outer tube and into the collars. The chimney can be installed by combining sections using a suitable adhesive.
