An example method performed by a wireless device includes receiving an assignment of radio resources corresponding to two or more transmissions with first start and length pairs, each transmission comprising a transport block repetition, where at least one of the first start and length pairs violates a time-domain allocation restriction. The wireless device determines second start and length pairs for the two or more transmissions such that the time-domain allocation restriction is not violated. The wireless device transmits the two or more transmissions according to the determined second start and length pairs.

    Abstract: Systems and methods to enable 5G system support for conveying time synchronization are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for conveying external time domain information is provided. The method includes receiving a message in a first time domain used by the wireless device, the message comprising external time domain information; determining information about a second time domain based on the external time domain information; and conveying information about the second time domain to another node. In some embodiments, timing information is included into a GPRS Tunneling Protocol (GTP) payload, and the wireless device can get timing information directly from the data payload. This minimizes the RAN and/or gNB impact and adds the potential for multiple time domain support.

The indicator comprises a pre-defined synchronization sequence, wherein one of: the indicator comprises a first access burst extending over one time slot, wherein the first access burst comprises the pre-defined synchronization sequence, which is longer than 41 bits, and the indicator comprises a second access burst extending over two time slots, the second access burst comprising the pre-defined synchronization sequence, which is longer than 88 bits. The communication device transmits the indicator on a random access channel in uplink to a network node. The indicator indicates the presence to the network node of the initial access request.
