  • Patent number: 11816598
Abstract: Scheduling and provisioning transportation by a controlled-environment facility resident may employ a controlled-environment facility resident communication and/or media device, which requests and accepts identification information, from a controlled-environment facility resident operating the device, and verifies the identification information. The device then presents a controlled-environment facility transportation interface, via which the device accepts input or selection of a date and time from the resident for pick-up of a party and a destination of the party. The device may then interface with a transportation provider computer system, or the like, and schedule the pick-up of the party at the input or selected date and time for transportation to the destination. The transportation is paid for from one or more controlled-environment facility trust accounts maintained by the controlled-environment facility to the benefit of the controlled-environment facility resident.

  • Patent number: 11328549
Abstract: In embodiments of systems and methods for enabling voting by a controlled-environment (e.g., correctional) facility resident (e.g., incarcerated individual), a controlled-environment facility management system, or the like, may determine federal, state and/or local laws and/or rules concerning the resident's legal right to vote and determine whether the resident is registered to vote in a jurisdiction in which the resident is deemed to reside, with respect to the resident's right to vote in the jurisdiction. In response to a determination that the resident is not registered to vote in that jurisdiction, the facility management system, or the like, may provide documents required for the resident to register to vote, to the resident, for completion and/or execution. The facility management system, or the like, may file, in the jurisdiction in which the resident is deemed to reside, resident-executed documents required for the resident to register to vote.

  • Patent number: 11166160
Abstract: A system for contraband device identification and alerting is disclosed. The system comprises a wireless signal detection system configured to identify signals from an unauthorized wireless device, and an alert module configured to generate notifications when an unauthorized wireless device is detected. The unauthorized wireless device is operating within a designated or controlled area. The designated area may overlap a controlled-environment facility and the wireless device is contraband within the controlled-environment facility. The alerting system may include a speaker, wherein the notifications comprise an audible message broadcast via the speaker. The alerting system may include one or more lights, wherein the notifications comprise illuminating the light. The notifications may also comprise one or more of a call, email, audible or visual alert, vibration and text that are sent to a designated individual.

  • Patent number: 10986311
Abstract: A system and method for preventing unauthorized inmate to inmate communications comprises establishing a video conferencing session between a first device and a second device. Video content is extracted from video conferencing session data received from the second device. One or more artifacts are identified in the video content. The artifacts indicate that a third device is a source of at least a portion of the video content. The artifacts comprise at least three layers of objects in the video content, wherein the layers are associated with different rates of variation in linear measurements of the objects. In other embodiments, multiple backgrounds are detected in the video conferencing session data.

  • Patent number: 10645341
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for establishing a video conferencing session between a first device and a second device; extracting video information from video conferencing session data received from the second device; and identifying one or more known cues that have been added to the video information, wherein the known cues identify a third device as a source of the video conferencing session data. The systems and methods may add cues to outbound video information prior to transmission as video conferencing session data, wherein the added cues identify the first device as a source of the transmitted video conferencing session data. The systems and methods may generate an alert and/or terminate the video conferencing session and/or flag a video conferencing session record for further analysis when a known cue has been identified in the video information.
