  • Patent number: 11210126
Abstract: A system is provided that includes one management cluster to manage network function virtualization infrastructure (NFVI) resources lifecycle in more than one edge POD locations, where resources include hardware and/or software, and where software resources lifecycle includes software development, upgrades, downgrades, logging, monitoring etc. Methods are provided for decoupling storage from compute and network functions in each virtual machine (VM)-based NFVI deployment location and moving it to a centralized location. Centralized storage could simultaneously interact with more than one edge PODs, and the security is built-in with periodic key rotation. Methods are provided for increasing NFVI system viability by dedicating (fencing) CPU core pairs for specific controller operations and workload operations, and sharing the CPU cores for specific tasks.

  • Patent number: 11164490
Abstract: A sign waving machine platform for street side promotions that incorporates a base frame, a sign waving apparatus plus an upper web to attach accessories including mannequins and electric signs. The sign waving apparatus includes a motor housing, battery, electric motor and bracket assembly that couples the motor drive shaft to a sign frame which moves relative to the housing as the motor drive shaft rotates. Signs can be attached to all sides of the sign frame. The platform attaches at the top only to posts, carts and other so it can freely swing in many directions with the wind. This rugged, lightweight platform has a primary structure made from 2 aluminum tubes; one slides inside the other and telescopes. Fastening occurs using thumb screws attached to the outer tubes and joints that when twisted, pinches the inside interconnecting tubes. The platform stretches in many directions providing numerous configurations.

  • Publication number: 20210271506
Abstract: A first virtual machine executing on a centralized management node provides a first image file to a first computing entity arranged within a first point of delivery. The first image file includes a first boot configuration file or a first ramdisk file. A second virtual machine provides a second image file to a second computing entity arranged within a second point of delivery different from the first point of delivery. The second image file includes a second boot configuration file or a second ramdisk file. The first virtual machine provides a third image file to the first computing entity. The third image file comprises a first operating system installation file. The second virtual machine provides a fourth image file to the second computing entity. The fourth image file comprises a second operating system installation file.

  • Publication number: 20210074186
Abstract: A hand-held, portable frame to support signs for street side promotions. This rugged, lightweight frame is made from aluminum or plastics and consists of various joints interconnected by square shaped insert tubes into a figure 8 configuration with optional extensions. To fasten, thumb screws attached to the joints that when twisted, pinch the insert tubes. The bottom brace member is a foot support. The middle brace member forms a hand support and is used as a body rest by leaning on it. Signs are attached only at the top allowing them to swing with the wind; minimizes user fatigue. Double sided signs can be used for viewing from opposite directions. All tubes come in multiple lengths and can couple together to form larger members. This frame stretches horizontally, vertically and in width providing numerous configurations. Recommended range is 2 to 6 feet horizontally and 8 to 12 feet vertically.

  • Patent number: 10810084
Abstract: One embodiment relates to an apparatus, comprising logic, at least partially incorporated into hardware, to receive, by a primary communication device, an update image associated with a smart device, and initiate sending of the update image to the smart device, wherein a bootloader of the smart device is configured to update a memory of the smart device with the update image. The logic is further to determine whether the updating of the memory of the smart device with the update image has been interrupted, and responsive to determining that the updating of the memory of the smart device with the update image has been interrupted, send a first message to the smart device to instruct the bootloader of the smart device to resume updating of the memory of the smart device.

  • Patent number: 10743680
Abstract: A portable, aluminum advertising platform system for store front and street side promotions. This rugged, lightweight platform has multiple vertical mounts and substantially stretches both horizontally and vertically providing numerous configurations. Supported signs and products are attached only at the top which allows them to freely swing; wind resistant. The structure is made from 2 aluminum tubes that slide inside each other; telescopes. Fastening occurs using thumb screws attached to the outer tubes that when twisted, pinches the inside interconnecting tubes. Tubes come in 1 to 4 foot lengths and can couple together to form much larger members. The 2 side frames are tubes welded together. The 4 leg levelers telescope 3 feet both horizontally and vertically to level the cart on rough uneven terrain. Levelers also act as durable brakes when any wheels are lifted off the ground. Detachable large 8 inch wheels swivel for easy maneuvering.

  • Patent number: 10062353
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a system to compensate for visual impairment. The system may comprise, for example, a frame wearable by a user to which is mounted at least sensing circuitry and display circuitry. The sensing circuitry may sense at least visible data and depth data. Control circuitry may then cause the display circuitry to visibly present the depth to the user based on the visible data and depth data. For example, the display circuitry may present visible indicia indicating depth to appear superimposed on the field of view to indicate different depths in the field of view, or may alter the appearance of objects in the field of view based on the depth of each object. The system may also be capable of sensing a particular trigger event, and in response may initiate sensing and presentation for a peripheral field of view of the user.
