Publication number: 20250022256Abstract: Synthetic data generation systems and methods are disclosed for augmenting synthetic scenes using neural networks that are conditioned on depth information. The synthetic data generation system may use a guided latent diffusion model to generate (or augment) synthetic images, which can subsequently be used to train other models to perform tasks such as object detection. Input of the model may be an image rendered by a graphic engine with coarsely rendered objects. When the image is rendered, segmentation masks may also be generated for objects in the image. The synthetic data generation system may generate a monocular depth image. During the image generation phase, the corresponding segmentation mask, depth map, and any guiding textual input serve as constraints for the denoising process. During the denoising step, the synthetic data generation system may also crop and adjust the resolution of individual objects during diffusion to enhance the results.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 10, 2023Publication date: January 16, 2025Inventors: John Welsh, Amit Goel

Publication number: 20080010909Abstract: An eaves beam for a glazed roof system includes a base member and an upper member. The base member includes a base plate adapted to rest on a building wall and includes upstanding wall members. The base member can be fastened from the top into the wall with the fastener extended between the two upstanding wall members. In turn, the upper portion of the eaves beam includes downwardly extended legs which are adapted to fit over the base member and are fastened to the base member by screws extended laterally through the legs into the base member. This facilitates installation of the eaves beam and allows the roof to be pre-assembled, taken to the work site and installed.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 5, 2007Publication date: January 17, 2008Applicant: PARK LANE CONSERVATORIES LTD.Inventors: Mark Back, J. Patent number: 7175935Abstract: A lithium dioxide cell construction including a resettable positive temperature coefficient fuse. The positive temperature coefficient fuse, can withstand shock and mechanical vibration without damage and is mounted in such a way that it cannot be bypassed without destroying the cell. If the cell is shorted out, within a few seconds, the positive temperature coefficient fuse limits the fault current to a low value, which will never allow the cell to overheat or vent.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2002Date of Patent: February 13, 2007Inventor: John Welsh

Publication number: 20060005383Abstract: A method of forming a printed circuit card with a metal power plane layer between two photoimageable dielectric layers is provided. Photoformed metal filled vias and plated through holes are in the photopatternable material, and signal circuitry is on the surfaces of each of the dielectric materials connected to the vias and plated through holes. A border may be around the card including a metal layer terminating in from the edge of one of the dielectric layers. Copper foil with clearance holes is provided. First and second layers of photoimageable curable dielectric material are on opposite sides of the copper. Patterns are developed on the first and second layers of the photoimageable material to reveal the metal layer through vias. Through holes are developed where holes were patterned in both dielectric layers. The surfaces of the photoimageable material, vias and through holes are metallized by copper plating, preferably using photoresist.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 12, 2005Publication date: January 12, 2006Applicant: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Kenneth Fallon, Miguel Jimarez, Ross Keesler, John Lauffer, Roy Magnuson, Voya Markovich, Irv Memis, Jim Paoletti, Marybeth Perrino, John Welsh, William Wilson

Publication number: 20050220917Abstract: The mold access and storage structure comprises an elevated work platform of generally rectangular configuration which is supported at the comers thereof by columns which straddle a machine. The top of the platform includes a walkway and a plurality of spaced apart parallel oil and water containment reservoirs or pans for receiving and storing molds when not in use by the machine and for collecting any oil or lubricant draining from the mold. A vertical ladder permits a person to access the work platform for maintenance purposes. A railing enclosure is mounted around the top of the platform and extends around the outer periphery of the walkway and reservoirs. The railing enclosure includes a pair of slideable gates which, when open, prevents the machine from operating and permits a ladder to be pivoted and moved from the walkway, into the space between the open slideable gates, thereby permitting a maintenance worker to access the top of the machine.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2004Publication date: October 6, 2005Inventors: Steven Pierik, John Welsh

Patent number: 4688043Abstract: A radar system for tracking airborne targets, in which the transmitted pulse signal is swept over a predetermined frequency range (3). A local oscillator (15) in the receiver is swept over a similar frequency range the L.O. sweep modulation being initiated (20) by the first significant target return signal. Reflectors on the target at different ranges therefore produce different I.F.s in the receiver. Discrimination between the various target reflector features is thus achieved by filtering (25, 27, 29) the I.F. signals in a series of small bands, each band corresponding to a particular target-feature range. Azimuth, elevation and magnitude of a target feature can thus be obtained for each range cell.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 1982Date of Patent: August 18, 1987Assignee: Marconi Avionics LimitedInventor: John Welsh
