Abstract: An apparatus for abrading surfaces has a first manifold mounted proximate one end of a shaft, and a second manifold mounted distal to one end of the shaft, said first and second manifolds being constructed to receive and distribute a fluid under positive pressure and vacuum pressure, the shaft being connected to the first and second manifolds to support the manifolds and the shaft includes fluid pathways to conduct air and vacuum flows of the fluid between the manifolds, and an end effector for treating surfaces.

Abstract: A surface treatment system using motors that drive abrasive pads to treat a surface has structure that applies a force on the abrasive pad that provides a non-uniform contact pressure between the abrasive pad and the treated surface. This allows the system to treat the surface more quickly. Several structures are disclosed for applying the necessary force to the abrasive pad. In preferred embodiments, the non-uniform contact pressure results from application of torque to a motor that drives the abrasive pad.

Abstract: The Hybrid Modular Ramp and The Hybrid Modular Ramp System are new in their design of portable and movable wheelchair no step access. One of the key points to this innovation is the rigid welding of the incline side rails at the slope of 1:12. This prevents the ramp from bring installed correctly at any other slope or pitch. Another innovation is the design feature that allows the use of various types of flooring material (some examples are: 1? plywood, 5/4? decking, steel and aluminum plating, various gratings both ferrous and non-ferrous, fiberglass grating, vinyl decking and various composite decking). More innovations include the use of a single material for construction and simple assembly and installation with minimal fasteners.
