  • Publication number: 20090184477
Abstract: A blade seal comprising: a base; a tip; a first part formed from an elastomeric material which extends continuously from the base to the tip; and a second part formed from an elastomeric material mixed with conductive filler which extends continuously from the base to the tip. The blade seal is manufactured by compressing the first and second parts together; and curing one or both of the parts as they are compressed together.

  • Publication number: 20090101759
Abstract: An aircraft leading edge panel having an outer aerodynamic surface; and an inner surface carrying the elastomeric impact protection membrane. The membrane comprises a woven or knitted fabric which is impregnated with an elastomeric material. The membrane and the panel may be bonded by an adhesive or co-cured to bond the membrane to the panel. The membrane provides impact protection to the panel by de-bonding from the face of the panel and absorbing at least part of the energy of an object impacting the panel.

  • Publication number: 20090052184
Abstract: The present invention is a multi-purpose light source of a unique design and specialized attachments which are also independently unique that can be used for, but not limited to, Dental, Medical, Cosmetic, and Industrial applications and procedures. Specifically the spectral irradiance of the light source can be controlled in such a way as to allow it to be used for procedures currently performed by lasers, electrosurgical devices, and hand instruments while retaining the benefits of the light source for other uses such as the photo-initiation of resins, tooth whitening, fluorescence, and illumination. The present invention may be used instead of a laser either independently or in conjunction with electrosurgical devices and hand instruments.

  • Publication number: 20090046476
Abstract: The present invention is a device that attaches to a light source to transmit and distribute light energy to the surface or internal chamber of a tooth for the purpose of photo-initiation of light curing resins and dental tooth whitening. More particularly, the invention may be used with a single or multiple Light Emitting Diode(s) to more efficiently collect and transmit the light energy emitted by the LED(s) resulting in increased total energy, uniform illumination, and collimation of the light energy delivered to the tooth.

  • Publication number: 20080272333
Abstract: A getter composition suitable for gettering hydrogen comprises a first metal oxide and a second metal oxide, said first metal oxide being more readily reducible in hydrogen at temperatures between 0° C. and 100° C. than said second metal oxide.

  • Publication number: 20080274436
Abstract: A dental system includes a light source, a power supply that adjusts a quantity of light produced by the light source, a measuring device that measures a quantity of light received from the light source, an input, through which user data, including a desired quantity of light, can be entered, and a controller which, together with the measuring device, forms at least part of a feedback loop. The controller receives the user data and communicates with the measuring device and the power supply so that the power supply adjusts a quantity of light emitted by the light source. As a result, the quantity of light received from the light source becomes substantially equal to the desired quantity of light.

  • Patent number: 7426575
Abstract: An arriving cell is admitted when a flow occupancy level is less than a flow minimum threshold. When the flow occupancy level is not less than the flow minimum threshold, a drop probability based on per-class thresholds is applied to determine if the arriving is to be rejected. When the arriving cell is not to be rejected after applying the drop probability based on the per-class thresholds, a drop probability based on per-flow thresholds is applied.

  • Publication number: 20080196976
Abstract: A mast includes a base section, an outer telescopic section and an inner telescopic section which are raised and lowered by a pair of main lift cylinders. A fork carriage is slidably mounted to the inner telescopic section and is raised and lowered thereon by a pair of free lift cylinders. The mast elements are arranged to form two mast columns which produce minimum obstruction to the truck operator's field of view when looking forward through the mast.
