  • Patent number: 11105607
Abstract: A method of putting a feature of interest on an object and an optical inspection system of a non-contact probe mounted on a positioning apparatus in a desired relationship. The method includes: a) identifying a target point of interest on the object to be inspected by arranging the non-contact probe and object at a first relative configuration at which a marker feature, projected by the non-contact probe along a projector axis that is not coaxial with the optical inspection system's optical axis, identifies the target point of interest; and b) subsequently moving the non-contact probe and/or object so as to put them at a second relative configuration at which the target point of interest and optical inspection system are at the desired relationship, in which the positioning apparatus is configured to guide such motion in accordance with the control path.

  • Publication number: 20210164915
Abstract: Measurement cavities described herein include a cylindrical chamber having a first open end and a second open end; a first cap covering the first open end of the cylindrical chamber and a second cap covering the second open end of the cylindrical chamber, wherein the first and second caps hermetically seal the cylindrical chamber and wherein the first cap is rigidly coupled to the second cap; and a wafer holder positioned within and coupled to the cylindrical chamber. The measurement cavity has a mass m, a stiffness k, and a damping constant c configured such that the transmissibility ? x F ? of an input force at 60 Hz in the measurement cavity is reduced by a factor of at least 10 and the measurement cavity has a natural frequency of greater than 300 Hz.

  • Publication number: 20210074174
Abstract: An improved music fingering aid has at least one decal fittable overlaying the fingerboard and attachable to the neck of a stringed instrument. The decal includes string identifier indicators, a graduated position indicators series, and a plurality of interval demarcations that employ distinct colors for visual distinction. The indicators do not pair particular notes with particular colors. Instead the improved music fingering aid associates music theory with muscle memory to ensure sounded notes are played in near perfect pitch and, when playing ensemble, in tempered pitch. Contemplation and improved association of music theory is thereby enabled.

  • Patent number: 10871369
Abstract: The methods disclosed herein include recording at near-vertical first and second measurement positions respective first and second interferograms of the photomask surface and defining a difference map as the difference between the first and second interferograms. Respective first and second normal forces on the photomask are also measured at the first and second measurement positions. The change in the normal force is used define a scaling factor, which is applied to the difference map to define a scaled difference map. A compensated flatness measurement with a reduced shape contribution due to gravity is obtained by subtracting the scaled difference map from the first interferogram. An interferometer-based flatness measurement system is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20200364252
Abstract: Described herein are technologies related to constructing supplemental content items that summarize electronic landing pages. A sequence to sequence model that is configured to construct supplemental content items is trained based upon a corpus of electronic landing pages and supplemental content items that have been constructed by domain experts, wherein each landing page has a respective supplemental content item assigned thereto. The sequence to sequence model is additionally trained using self critical sequence training, where estimated click through rates of supplemental content items generated by the sequence to sequence model are employed to train the sequence to sequence model.

  • Publication number: 20200233377
Abstract: A method and system for forming a holographic structure in a material. The holographic structure is configured to project a selected target image in the far field under illumination of the holographic structure by a laser. The method calculates a modified design for the holographic structure that encodes a unique identifier within the holographic structure for projecting the target image. The method modifies the material by mapping features corresponding to the modified design into the material so as to form the holographic structure. A basic check of the authenticity of the material is performed by checking whether a projected replica of the target image is as expected. A more detailed check of the authenticity of the material is performed by directly inspecting the features in the holographic structure.
