  • Publication number: 20230068317
Abstract: In inventory management barcodes scanners are a very useful tool. Most barcode scanners are tethered via a USB cable, or must be relatively close to a host computer using wire-less communication protocols. This invention is enables a barcode scanner unit to be able to connect to Wi-Fi and send data immediately to any host server in the world. Customizable HTTP POST requests let end customers choose any extra data, such as locations and user identification, to send with each barcode that has been scanned. Switches on the unit can be activated to change the POST requests being sent without having to reprogram the unit. The small footprint of the device allows it to be integrated easily into handheld scanners, existing cabinetry, assembly lines, and appliances.

  • Publication number: 20210146003
Abstract: A temperature-responsive hydrogel includes water, a poly(N-alkylacrylamide) copolymer of a first monomer and a second monomer that is different than the first monomer, and an adhesion-enhancing additive. One type of adhesion-enhancing additive is selected from the group consisting of Arg-Gly-Asp-Ser amino sequence (RGDS), 3-guanidinopropionic acid (GPA), manganese(II) chloride tetrahydrate, and combinations thereof. Characteristically, the temperature-responsive hydrogel has a failure pressure that is at least 2 times greater than a failure pressure for a base temperature-responsive hydrogel having the same composition without the adhesion-enhancing additive. Another type of adhesion-enhancing additive is selected from the family of plant polyphenols, and issued as a priming layer before deployment of the temperature-responsive hydrogel. It not only improves the adhesion of temperature-responsive polymer gels to biological tissues, but also reserves the thermal reversibility of the polymers.

  • Patent number: 9023419
Abstract: A high-purity porous metal coating is formed over a substrate by thermal spraying a metal coating material over the desired portion of the substrate in an atmospheric air environment. The metal coating material may react with the atmosphere to cause impurities in the applied coating. The impurity-rich portion of the applied coating is subsequently removed to form the high-purity porous metal coating. Process steps are included that cause the impurity-rich portion of the applied coating to be a surface portion that is removable to arrive at the high-purity coating. A protective shroud may be used to limit the amount of impurity imparted to the applied coating and/or a getter material may be employed to continually bring impurities toward the surface of the coated substrate during coating.

  • Patent number: 8141723
Abstract: A shelf panel for support of items made of an array of honeycomb-shaped cells, alternatively closed at opposite ends to create an array. The thickness of the honeycomb cells may be varied along an arch distribution with the shape of contemplated deformations. The array of honeycomb cells may be surrounded by a ring of alternatively configured cells to create regularly shaped shelf panels. The surrounding cells of a second thickness allow for possible stacking between two shelf panels including a cylindrical corner cell with a top cylinder able to accommodate a bottom cylinder from a second shelf panel. The surrounding cells may also include a wedge of the same geometry as the selected cell where part of the wedge is inserted in the cell and the other part of the wedge is a mechanical fixation means. Some circumferential cells may be adapted to be either a male or female interlocks allowing for two or more shelf panels to be interlocked if they are disposed adjacent each other on a same plane.
