Publication number: 20230329311Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods of shaping a raw cell-based-meat product using vacuum sealing. The disclosed method includes preparing a cell-mass mixture by mixing a grown cell mass with a binding agent. The cell-mass mixture is added to a mold that is covered with a film and vacuum sealed. Because, in some embodiments, the mold is rigid, the cell-mass mixture conforms to the shape of the mold, such as the shape of slaughtered or harvested meat. To shape a cell-based-meat product, an apparatus may be used with a mold for sealing and conforming a cell-mass mixture.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 19, 2022Publication date: October 19, 2023Inventor: Antony John Wicke

Patent number: 7955104Abstract: A shorting clip terminal connector assembly electrically shorts together terminals in a first connector body dependent on connection status of a first and a second connector body. A shorting clip terminal disposed in a shorting clip terminal cavity in the first connector body receives a protrusion disposed on the second connector body. When the second connector body is mated with the first connector body, the protrusion engages a lift element of the shorting clip terminal in the shorting clip terminal cavity thereon and urges the lift element to lift contact elements of the shorting clip terminal away from the terminals in the shorting clip terminal cavity enabling insertion of protrusion side walls intermediate the contact elements and the terminals in the shorting clip terminal cavity. The contact elements of the shorting clip terminal do not make electrical contact with the terminals and the protrusion side walls further shield the contact elements from making electrical contact with the terminals.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2010Date of Patent: June 7, 2011Assignee: Delphi Technologies, Inc.Inventors: John Wicks, Mark D. McCall, Nicole L. Liptak, Paul S. Lam

Publication number: 20060169064Abstract: Methods and systems useful for obtaining a representative sample of solid particles from a pneumatically conveyed stream of solid particles. One preferred method and system includes establishing a pneumatic flow of solid particles in a gas stream through a sampling conduit and diverting the steam through a second conduit; isolating an inlet of the sampling conduit from the second conduit substantially simultaneously with the step of diverting the entire stream through the second conduit and emptying material from the isolated sampling conduit, wherein the representative sample comprises the material emptied from the sampling conduit. The outlet end of the sampling conduit may be vented into the second conduit or the atmosphere. The system for accomplishing the method may include a controller for controlling, inter alia, a position of the means for diverting the stream through a second conduit, the means for isolating an inlet sampling conduit, or combinations thereof.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2005Publication date: August 3, 2006Inventors: Donald Anschutz, John Wick
