  • Publication number: 20190126938
Abstract: Integrated performance braking is disclosed. A disclosed example apparatus includes a hand-operated lever of a vehicle, a data interface to operatively couple the lever to an anti-lock braking system (ABS) of the vehicle, and a brake controller to cause at least one wheel of the vehicle to lock via the ABS when the lever is rotated to a defined angular position.

  • Publication number: 20140262424
Abstract: A wire cable capable of transmitting digital signals with a data rate of at least 5 Gigabits per second (Gb/s). The wire cable includes an insulated twisted pair of conductors and an inner conductive shield enclosing the conductors. The insulation of the twisted pair is bonded to provide consistent spacing between the conductors. A belting formed of a flexible dielectric is disposed between the shield and the bonded twisted pair. The belting provides consistent spacing between the twisted pair and the inner shield. The wire cable further includes a drain wire disposed outside the inner conductive shield and inside an outer conductive shield that encloses both the drain wire and the inner conductive shield. This combination of elements provides a wire cable having consistent impedance that is capable of transmitting digital signals with a data rate of at least 5 Gb/s via a single twisted pair of conductors.

  • Patent number: 7955104
Abstract: A shorting clip terminal connector assembly electrically shorts together terminals in a first connector body dependent on connection status of a first and a second connector body. A shorting clip terminal disposed in a shorting clip terminal cavity in the first connector body receives a protrusion disposed on the second connector body. When the second connector body is mated with the first connector body, the protrusion engages a lift element of the shorting clip terminal in the shorting clip terminal cavity thereon and urges the lift element to lift contact elements of the shorting clip terminal away from the terminals in the shorting clip terminal cavity enabling insertion of protrusion side walls intermediate the contact elements and the terminals in the shorting clip terminal cavity. The contact elements of the shorting clip terminal do not make electrical contact with the terminals and the protrusion side walls further shield the contact elements from making electrical contact with the terminals.

  • Publication number: 20050106911
Abstract: An electrical connector assembly has a housing and two slide assist members that are slideably supported by the housing. The slide assist members each include at least one mating slot adapted to receive a mating portion of a mating connector. A U-shaped slide assist lever having first and second spaced apart arms is pivotally interconnected with the housing and the slide assist members to move the slide assist members and facilitate mating with the mating connector. Each slide assist member includes a notch and each lever arm includes a protrusion that mates with the corresponding notch when the slide assist member is in an engaged location and the lever is in an engaged position.

  • Patent number: 6149471
Abstract: A terminal retention feature for retaining a terminal pin in a terminal block is disclosed. The retention feature includes an arrowhead shape having barbs thereon. The barbs are tapered on the front side to reduce insertion forces and eliminate deformation of the terminal block. The retention feature provides reduced insertion forces while enabling high retention forces preventing pull out of the terminal pin.
