  • Publication number: 20240141593
Abstract: Disclosed are multi-ply tissue products comprising a non-crosslinked binder that are durable and dispersible. The products generally have a Slosh time less than 2 minutes, such as less than about 60 seconds, such as less than about 45 seconds. Surprisingly, the foregoing Slosh times are achieved despite the tissue products having relatively high cross-machine direction (CD) wet tensile strength, such as greater than about 100 g/3?. Typically, increasing wet tensile strength, particularly wet CD tensile strength, negatively effects dispersability and increases Slosh time. Despite this trend, the present invention surprisingly provides a tissue product having a relatively high degree of wet strength and good dispersability.

  • Patent number: 11959227
Abstract: The creped multi-ply tissue products are durable, smooth and have low levels of Slough. In certain instances, the creped multi-ply tissue products are produced using a creping composition comprising a non-crosslinked latex polymer. The creped multi-ply tissue products may have a geometric mean tensile (GMT) from about 700 to about 1,500 g/3?, a basis weight from about 45 to about 60 gsm and a Slough less than about 2.00 mg, such as from about 0.10 to about 2.00 mg. The inventive tissue products also have good durability, such as a Durability Index from about 10.0 to about 20.0, smooth surfaces, such as a TS750 value from about 15.0 to 40.0 and low stiffness, such as a Stiffness Index less than about 10.0.

  • Patent number: 9188198
Abstract: An apparatus includes a housing, an input portion including an input gear, an idler portion including an idler gear, and an output portion including an output gear and an output member disposed outside of the housing and substantially coplanar with a drive portion of a rear wheel assembly. The housing can couple to an engine assembly such that rotation of an engine output member rotates the input gear. The input gear can move within the housing between a first position, in which the input gear engages the idler gear and is spaced apart from the output gear to indirectly rotate the output gear in a first direction via the idler gear, and a second position, in which the input gear engages the output gear and is spaced apart from the idler gear to directly rotate the output gear in a second direction. The output member rotates with the output gear.

  • Publication number: 20060213815
Abstract: Methods and compositions for suppression hydrocarbon fumes, and cooking oil fumes, by applying a non-volatile organic compounds having a vapor pressure temperature greater than the vapor pressure temperature of the hydrocarbon fume constituents, or cooking oil fume constituents; said compositions may include delivery vehicles such as 70% ethanol, or thixotropic lotions, to produce remediation formulations that may be sprayed or spread onto the surfaces from which the fumes are emanating; also included is an insect repellant, comprising non-volatile organic compounds having a vapor pressure temperature greater than the vapor pressure temperature of the human pheromones and body odors with attract biting insects.

  • Publication number: 20060165749
Abstract: A method of sequestering volatile fragrances by encapsulating them in the oil phase of a thixotropic microemulsion, and drying to a thin film, and subsequently releasing the volatile oils upon rehydration of the dried film; compositions comprising the volatile fragrances encapsulated in the oil phase of a thixotropic microemulsion, which compositions may also contain temperature sensitive ingredients; and a wound dressing comprising a dried film formed from a thixotropic microemulsion.

  • Publication number: 20050048020
Abstract: A thixotropic microemulsion for the treatment of mammalian skin; and methods for the preparation thereof; and skin treatment formulations formed therefrom. The delivery system is an oil-in-water type emulsion that is especially useful as a vehicle for the delivery of hydrophobic and hydroalcoholic plant extracts having anti-irritant and/or anti-oxidant properties. The delivery system is comprised of natural, hydrophobic, chemically-modified type starches and polysaccharaides. Among the oils preferred in this embodiment are: mineral oil, petrolatum jelly and silicone oils, either added singly or in various combinations. Among surfactants employed as emulsifiers are: either a cationic detergent, e.g., benzalkonium chloride, an anionic, e.g., sodium lauryl sulfate, and a non-ionic detergent, e.g., Triton X-100 or combinations of oils and surfactants. The resulting emulsion is a semi-viscous and thixotropic gel, which is stable upon prolonged standing at ambient storage temperature.

  • Patent number: 5471788
Abstract: A liner for a planting pot has a generally tubular body with an upper open end and a lower end with a transverse floor. The body has a plurality of openings in the wall thereof. When plant material is planted in a pot having such a liner, the plant material may be transplanted to a larger pot by removing the liner and plant material from the first pot and planting it in a second, larger pot.

  • Patent number: 4033520
Abstract: A textile traverse rod guide device particularly suited for the guiding of winding of yarns onto packages is described wherein the traverse guide substantially reduces the noise level of winding machine when in operation. The traverse guide is capable of reducing the noise level on the order of 5 to 8 decibels compared to previously used devices while at the same time providing better package build. The noted traverse guide is fabricated as a single piece from engineering plastics and operates utilizing torque-tension principles rather than mechanical guidance and swivel means.
