  • Patent number: 9594153
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating detection of interference data in association with radars are provided. In some embodiments, signal levels at a communication tower are monitored. In accordance with the monitored signal levels, a periodic interference associated with a radar remote from the communication tower is recognized based on a pattern of signal levels monitored. Interference data associated with the periodic interference is calculated. Such interference data may include, for example, an interference periodicity and an interference duration.

  • Patent number: 9560550
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating mitigation of interference using beamforming techniques are provided. In some embodiments, interference periodicity and interference duration associated with interference of a radar beam are used to determine an extent of time during which a lobe of a communication tower is to be modified in power, direction, or a combination thereof. Upon an occurrence of the extent of time, the lobe of the communication tower is modified in power, direction, or a combination thereof so that the lobe does not interfere with a radar beam emitted from a radar remote from the communication tower.

  • Patent number: 8666356
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media, for facilitating voice and data transmission over a single communication path during an aggregate communication event are provided. In some embodiments, the method includes aggregating voice data until a full voice frame can be transmitted or a maximum delay of voice transmission exists. A voice frame comprising the aggregated voice data is transmitted upon attaining the full voice frame or the maximum delay in voice transmission.

  • Patent number: 8570967
Abstract: A plurality of candidate access terminals for participation in a multi-user packet-based (MUP-based) communication is determined. Two or more candidate access terminals are grouped into a MUP-based group, the grouping based on a hybrid automatic repeat request behavior of the plurality of candidate access terminals. Data is sent to the MUP-based group using a multi-user packet.

  • Patent number: 8213371
Abstract: An embodiment of the current invention is directed to reducing the time for a computing device to deliver a message to a mobile computing device. A request to enter a tracking mode is received on a quick paging channel. A transition to a tracking mode is performed. Via a slotted access channel, a location-change message is sent that indicates that the mobile computing device has entered a new location. The location-change message is sent when the mobile computing device changes locations.

  • Patent number: 8213358
Abstract: An embodiment of the current invention is directed to a method of reducing the latency associated with communicating data to a mobile device. It is determined that a threshold period of time has elapsed since a mobile device has communicated a location-determining message. A request for the mobile device to transition to a quick-paging recognition mode is sent to a mobile device configured to perform a process. The process includes: sending a response to the first request as a location-determining message; transitioning to a quick-page recognition mode; receiving an indication to receive a paging-channel message; acquiring the paging-channel message; and returning to the quick-page recognition mode.
