  • Patent number: 12168099
Abstract: A blower unit for use as part of an integrated blower/humidification system is described. The blower unit has an outer casing, which encloses and forms part of the blower unit, the casing including an air inlet vent. The blower unit further includes a humidifier compartment for receiving a humidifier unit with a separate gases inlet and outlet, the compartment having a heater base for heating the contents of the humidifier unit. The compartment also has a blower inlet port which aligns with the humidifier unit inlet in use, the blower providing a gases path through the casing between the inlet vent and the inlet port. The blower unit also includes a fan for providing a pressurised gases stream along the gases path, and a power supply unit for powering the fan. The gases path is routed over the power supply unit in order to provide a cooling air flow.

  • Patent number: 12111081
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for heating a fluid using solar energy. The apparatus comprises: a fluid source, a first chamber comprising a fluid inlet to allow one-way movement of a fluid from the fluid source to the first chamber, a second chamber comprising a fluid outlet to allow the controlled movement of a fluid internal the second chamber to a further chamber or external the apparatus, and a fluid connection between the first and second chambers to allow substantially one-way movement of a fluid from the first chamber to the second chamber. Each of the chambers is fluid tight and configured as a solar collector to heat a fluid therein. The apparatus as a whole operates such that under even incident solar radiation a fluid is heated in each of the chambers and upon thermal expansion of the fluid, the fluid is moved in a controlled manner substantially one-way from the first chamber to the second chamber, and from the second chamber to a further chamber or to the outside the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 10902569
Abstract: The present disclosure covers systems and methods of efficiently filtering digital images. More particularly, the present disclosure covers systems and methods that generate and maintain a list of unique pixel values within a kernel window. Using the list, the systems and methods determine filtered pixel values for a filtered output image by processing only the counts of pixels in the histogram associated with the unique pixel values of the list. By considering selective pixel values of the histogram based on the unique pixel values of the list, the systems and methods reduce computations as part of the filtering process.

  • Patent number: 10482622
Abstract: Techniques for locating features of interest in warped images are described. For example, a destination image is generated from a source image based on warping a portion of the source image according to a backward map. Each of the two images is associated with a mesh having a tile-based geometry. The backward map maps points from the destination mesh to pixels in the source image. Triangles are formed from the tiles of the destination mesh. A forward map is generated based on the triangles and the backward map. The forward map maps points from the source mesh to pixels in the destination image. A point from the source mesh is identified that corresponds to a pixel of a feature of interest. The forward map is applied to this point to locate a pixel in the destination image. This pixel corresponds to the location of the feature in the destination image.
