  • Publication number: 20130037572
Abstract: A miniature dispenser for dispensing fluid materials such as liquids or powders. The dispenser has a body which contains a piston and a material reservoir which is separable from the body and contains the fluid material. The material reservoir includes the passages, valves, and nozzles through which the material being dispensed flows and also includes an integral collapsible material container. A user may assemble the body to different material reservoirs and each material reservoir may be tailored to the properties of the material it contains. The dispenser is small enough to be worn as part of a bracelet or to be dipped to a pocket, belt, backpack, or purse.

  • Publication number: 20100025432
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing material includes: a chamber for the material, the chamber sealed by a flexible seal; a nozzle coupled to the chamber and residing at a front end; and a pump, the pump comprising: a piston that moves in a tube, and an activator. When a user presses the activator, the piston moves toward or away from the front end, and a portion of the material is emitted onto the user's palm or fingers. The pump emits the portion of the material regardless of a direction of gravitational pull. In one embodiment, the piston emits the material by directly contacting the material in the chamber. In another embodiment, air is allowed into the chamber through a weep hole, which resides between the piston and the material. The air is used to expel the material through the one-way valve.

  • Publication number: 20080251539
Abstract: A bracelet to be worn on the wrist which includes a dispenser for dispensing liquid or powdered materials such as sunblocks or germicides. The dispenser on the palm side of the wrist and when the user presses an activator, the dispenser emits a portion of the material onto the user's palm. The dispenser is approximately the size of a wrist watch. A preferred embodiment of the dispenser employs a pump which will work at any orientation. The pump uses air pressure differences produced by the movement of a piston to pull the material into a chamber and expel it from the chamber through a one-way valve. The one-way valve in a preferred embodiment of the pump is made from a silicon diaphragm which opens when it flexes in response to pressure differences and a support for the diaphragm which permits it to flex in only one direction.

  • Patent number: 5269157
Abstract: An insulated beach box in which ice, beverages and various other food products may be placed with the ice maintaining the beverages and food products at a cold and fresh condition even though the beach box is placed on the beach where it may be relatively hot. The beach box includes structural features and attachments which enables the box to be effectively used as a beach chair having a seat back pivotally connected thereto which forms a pull handle when oriented generally in perpendicular relation to the top of the box which forms a seat. The box includes wheels and a rounded corner surface generally in alignment with the seat back which enables the device to be easily pulled over a hard surface by using the wheels and over sand by using the curved corner and adjacent surfaces of the box to facilitate the beach box being pulled to a desired site.
