  • Patent number: 11593504
Abstract: A system for determining access for a hypercube includes an interface configured to receive a request for access from a user to data in a location in a hypercube; receive a tree structure with subcubes of the hypercube arranged in a hierarchical structure; and receive a user permission list, wherein an element of the user permission list comprises a permission, a root node, and a set of pruned nodes. The system also includes a processor configured to determine a user permission associated with the data in the location of the hypercube using the user permission list; and provide an indication of the user permission.

  • Patent number: 9195695
Abstract: An approach for providing compression of a database table that uses a compiled table algorithm (CTA) that provides leverage. Data within any given column in adjacent rows is often the same as or closely related to its neighbors. Rather than storing data in each column of each row as a specific integer, floating point, or character data value, a field reconstruction instruction is stored that when executed by a decompression engine can reconstruct the data value. The field reconstruction instruction may be bit granular and may depend upon past history given that the data compression engine may preserve state as row data is streamed off a storage device.

  • Patent number: 8680242
Abstract: The invention relates to C9orf46 homolog, a novel murine membrane protein, and its orthologs in human, mouse and all other species, termed Plg-RKT, or analogs, thereof and the isolation method. The function of this molecule is to bind to plasminogen, plasminogen fragments such as angiostatin1 and other plasminongen fragments having angiostatic activity, tissue plasminogen activator and Lipoprotein(a). Plasminogen receptors function to modulate cell surface proteolysis and physiological and pathophysiological processes requiring cell migration, including, but not limited to, cell migration during inflammation, tissue remodeling, wound healing, tumor cell invasion and metastasis, skeletal myogenesis, neurite outgrowth. Plasminogen receptors also modulate apoptosis and cell death.

  • Patent number: 8541505
Abstract: A thermoplastic composition is prepared by melt blending a poly(arylene ether) and an other resin, where the poly(arylene ether) has a particular molecular weight distribution. The thermoplastic composition exhibits significantly increased melt flow compared to compositions containing poly(arylene ether)s with similar intrinsic viscosities but different molecular weight distributions. The increased melt flow facilitates preparation of the thermoplastic composition and subsequent article fabrication procedures.

  • Publication number: 20070226962
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a safety belt web adjuster that incorporates a sliding middle horizontal member around which the lower section of webbing is looped. This allows the webbing section to be trapped between two bars, one sliding and one fixed. The web adjuster of the present invention also allows for relatively easy adjustment of safety belt tension by moving the web adjuster through approximately 90 degrees of motion, thereby removing the bearing force on the webbing previously supplied by the fixed member, allowing the slack in the safety belt to be easily adjusted.
