  • Publication number: 20240002804
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to cultured adipose tissue. In one embodiment, the cultured adipose tissue is produced by culturing adipose cells in a culture media in vitro, harvesting the adipose cells after a desired amount of adipose cells are produced, and aggregating the harvested adipose cells to provide the cultured adipose tissue. In some embodiments, aggregating the harvested adipose cells comprises mixing the harvested adipose cells with a hydrogel or binder in a three-dimensional (3D) mold. In other embodiments, aggregating the harvested adipose cells comprises cross-linking the harvested adipose cells in a 3D mold. • Publication number: 20230284662
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to cultured tissue, methods for production of the cultured tissue, and a bioreactor system for production of the cultured tissue. In some embodiments, the production of the cultured tissue may involve, at a first bioreactor, feeding a fiber scaffold into a chamber containing culture media, seeding the chamber with precursor cells, and allowing the precursor cells to proliferate and differentiate on a surface of the fiber scaffold. At downstream bioreactors, the production of the cultured tissue may further involve twisting a plurality of the cell-laden fibers to provide a cell-laden yarn, and weaving or knitting the cell-laden yarn into a three-dimensional (3D) structure. In some embodiments, the cultured tissue may be whole muscle cultured meat composed of muscle cell-laden fibers and fat cell-laden fibers. The whole muscle cultured meat may have a structural organization and hierarchy that mimics natural skeletal muscle tissue.

  • Publication number: 20060018805
Abstract: A photo-electronic air purifying disinfector firstly filters out airborne impurities using a washable filter screen. It then utilizes an activated carbon filter to filter out airborne bacteria and germs. The bacteria and germs which are capable of passing through the activated carbon filter are then eliminated by extreme-UV light emitted by extreme-UV light tubes. It also utilizes a negative ion generator to boost the level of anions in the air before being discharged. These two modes operate in the following manner: the first mode involves cathodic high-voltage output that is discharged via a carbonized fibre. The ionized air is then expelled by a fan. The second mode eliminates bacteria, germs and mould from air as it passes extreme-UV light tubes by exposure to extreme-UV light emitted by these extreme-UV light tubes.

  • Publication number: 20060005707
Abstract: A 4-in-1 photo-electronic air conditioning, dehumidifying, purifying and disinfecting system has an activated carbon filter in the first stage to eliminate impurities, germs and bacteria in the air drawn into the system. The bacteria and germs in the extracted air, which are capable of passing through the activated carbon filter, are then eliminated by extreme-UV light emitted by extreme-UV light tubes. The excessive moisture in the air is also removed. A negative ion generator is also used to boost the level of anions in the air. These two modes operate in the following manner: the first mode involves high-voltage cathodic output that is discharged via a carbonized fibre. The ionised air is then expelled by an air drum. The second mode eliminates bacteria, germs and mould from air as it passes extreme-UV light tubes by exposure to extreme-UV light emitted by these extreme-UV light tubes.

  • Publication number: 20060005708
Abstract: A 3-in-1 photo-electronic air purifying and disinfecting system, which utilizes alternating current, has an activated carbon filter used in the first stage to eliminate impurities, germs and bacteria in the air drawn into the system. The bacteria and germs which are capable of passing through the activated carbon filter are then eliminated by extreme-UV light emitted by extreme-UV light tubes. An anion generator is also included to boost the level of anions in the air before being discharged. These two modes operate in the following manner: the first mode involves high-voltage cathodic output that is discharged via a carbonized fibre. The ionized air is then expelled by a fan. The second mode eliminates bacteria, germs and mould from air as it passes extreme-UV light tubes by exposure to extreme-UV light emitted by these extreme-UV light tubes.

  • Publication number: 20050139741
Abstract: A drink-item holding apparatus 5 incorporates an upper flap 53 and a lower flap 54 which may be unfolded from a stowed configuration (FIG. 7) to a deployed configuration (FIG. 8) in which the upper flap 53 is releasably latched in its horizontal position. Projections 532 at the rear edge of the upper flap 53 resiliently push in L-shaped arms 55 against the biasing action of springs 56 until the projections 532 snap past the arms 55 which then serve to latch the upper flap 53 in its deployed configuration. The upper flap 53 may be rotated in the reverse direction in order to unlatch the projections 532 so as to return to the stowed configuration. The upper flap 53 is therefore protected against inadvertent downward rotation. The lower flap 54 folds away upwards, and the upper flap 53 folds away downwards against the lower surface of the lower flap 54 in order to produce a compact arrangement of the apparatus 5.
