    Abstract: An Ethernet packet flow control method and associated application apparatus. A unicast flow control packet instead of a broadcast flow control packet is sent when the destination port is congested. The source port is informed to stop sending any packet to the congested port only. Therefore, overall performance of the transmission network is improved.
