Abstract: A portable bathtub lift is described for releasable mounting to a bathtub of the type that includes a tub surround formed by a substantially upright wall extending upwardly from a support surface and terminating at an elevated top ledge surface. The lift includes a frame configured to rest against the support surface outwardly adjacent the upright tub wall and a clamp with a clamp actuator on the frame configured to releasably secure the frame to the bathtub. A lift mechanism on the frame includes a patient support surface that is powered to move the patient support surface elevationally. The patient support surface is pivotable about a substantially vertical axis between a position outward of the tub and a position over the tub.
