  • Patent number: 7234738
Abstract: A casing assembly includes a casing having a receiving space and an entrance, and a lid mounted detachably in the entrance to deny access into the space. A fastening device is disposed in the casing, and includes a blocking plate and a resilient clip urging the blocking plate to rotate in a predetermined direction to engage the same with the lid, thereby preventing removal of the lid from the casing. The lid may include a downwardly extending tongue which passes through a hole in the casing and is to be engaged by a hook-like portion on the end of the blocking plate.

  • Patent number: 6706983
Abstract: The invention is to provide a multi-function erroneous contact protection structure for electronic device keyboards in which a minimum of one transparent cover is positioned at the lateral edge of at least one key switch on the case of an electronic device with one end of the said cover protruding from the said case at a height equal to or greater than that of the said key switches, the protruding cover structure of the case enabling the simultaneous touching of the said cover when the user strikes a said key switch, reminding the user that the said key switch is a critical key switch and thereby preventing erroneous contact with the said key switch.

  • Publication number: 20040018323
Abstract: The invention is to provide a touch pad structure, which consists of a case having a containment space in which a touch pad is ensconced and visible through an opening formed in the surface of the said case. The said touch pad is constructed of a film and a glass base, wherein the peripheral edges thereof are aligned and fastened together by means of a conjoinment section with a separation layer between them. An adhesive layer situated a suitable distance away from the lateral edges of the said opening is disposed between the said case and film to bind them together. As such, when positions adjacent to the lateral edges of the said opening are pressed, they are correspondingly brought into continuity with the glass base, thereby preventing contact failure between the said film and glass base that results in selection incapability along the lateral edges of the said opening.
