  • Publication number: 20170102467
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus are provided for tracking an object moving along and above a ground surface. The object may comprise, affixed thereto or contained therein, a satellite-based location tracking apparatus to provide a first set of position coordinate pairs for the object as well as an inertial measurement unit to provide a plurality of heading direction values for the object and/or a velocity/distance sensor to provide a second set of position coordinate pairs based on, for example, optical flow image processing of a plurality of images of the ground surface. At least one processor may calculate a third set of position coordinate pairs based on a combination of the first set of position coordinate pairs, accounting for first reliability factor(s), as well as the second set of position coordinate pairs, accounting for second reliability factor(s), and/or the plurality of heading direction values, accounting for third related reliability factor(s).

  • Publication number: 20170083157
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a portable device that is configured to project an image onto a secondary surface, and to support interaction with the projected image. The device is configured with an embedded projector to display indicia on a secondary surface. More specifically, the projector is configured to project an interactive image onto a secondary surface. The device is employed to communicate and interact with one or more components displayed within the image. Data related to the interaction is acquired by the device and stored local to the device or communicated to a secondary device.

  • Patent number: 9229535
Abstract: A haptic communication system having a range of sensors embedded with an operator's attire. Data collected by the sensors is processed by a computing device local to the operator and is communicated via a haptic modality in real-time to other team members and robotic assets in the system.
