  • Patent number: 8286088
Abstract: A system according to invention principles advantageously automatically displays a parameter value within the closest Flowsheet parameter acquisition time interval column. A user interface system provides patient medical parameter data for trend indicative display covering a time period comprising user selectable acquisition time intervals. The system includes an acquisition processor for acquiring, from a patient monitoring device, data representing a patient parameter comprising a plurality of data values at a corresponding plurality of different times within multiple user selectable patient parameter acquisition intervals of a time period. The data processor determines for a particular user selectable acquisition time interval a patient parameter data value closest in time to a center time point of the particular user selected acquisition time interval and excludes other patient parameter data values acquired within the particular user selectable acquisition time interval.

  • Patent number: 8239780
Abstract: A user interface system provides patient medical parameter data for trend indicative display covering a time period comprising user selectable acquisition time intervals. An acquisition processor acquires, from a patient monitoring device, data representing a patient parameter comprising a plurality of data values at a corresponding plurality of different times within multiple user selectable patient parameter acquisition intervals of a time period. A generator generates data representing a first image showing a trend indicative display of the patient parameter covering a time period comprising user selectable acquisition time intervals and including a first number of data points in an individual acquisition time interval. The generator generates data representing an image window comprising an expansion of the individual acquisition time interval and including a second number of data points greater than the first number, in response to user command.

  • Patent number: 7757183
Abstract: A system and a method are described for allowing a user to generate a timeline and display patient data with varying time intervals. The time intervals can range from a few minutes to several hours. By allowing a user to select start time and end time when a time interval change occurs, the time interval change is applied to a selected portion or duration of the timeline rather than the full length. Also multiple time intervals may be selected and applied to the patient data.

  • Publication number: 20090125335
Abstract: A patient treatment planning system includes at least one repository of medical information of a plurality of different patients. A data processor acquires patient data from the at least one repository for presentation in a user interface display and storing patient data acquired into the at least one repository. A user interface initiates generation of data representing a composite display image presenting patient data acquired from the at least one repository using the data processor, the composite display image enabling user initiation of execution of a plurality of different executable applications by the data processor including, a care planning application and a medication administration scheduling application.

  • Publication number: 20080189140
Abstract: A system and a method for processing medical information are described. An attempt is made to acquire patient data in response to a user request. A determination is made as to whether the patient data relating to the user request comprises more than a predetermined amount data, such as, for example, 48 columns worth of data. If the data relating to the user request comprises more than the predetermined amount, only the predetermined amount of data is acquired. Otherwise, all available data relating to the user request is acquired.

  • Patent number: 7039878
Abstract: A network compatible, configurable user interface system for displaying a set of user-selectable, sequentially generated patient medical parameters, together with an associated time indication comprises a display menu generator for generating a customization menu that enables user selection of a default set of medical parameters from a plurality of available sets of default medical parameters. The customization menu further enables user modification of the default set of medical parameters. A display generator responsive to a user command operates to display the modified default set of medical parameters in a graphical or tabular format.

  • Publication number: 20060080343
Abstract: A system for acquiring and providing data relating to an entity to a user provides for specification of a user defined time “keeper” or anchor for navigation through an electronic data storage system such that the data displayed from screen to screen is kept in the same time context without requiring user scrolling or multiple mouse clicks. Such a system includes at least one repository of entity related data and information indicating an index associated with the entity related data. A source of configuration data identifies a particular index value for the entity. An acquisition processor accesses the repository to acquire entity related data associated with the particular index value in response to a user command to access entity related data.

  • Publication number: 20040032426
Abstract: A system automatically selects and adapts a Flowsheet for trend indicative display of patient parameters in response to patient relocation to a different care unit and provides a preview image window indicating Flowsheet appearance in response to user entered configuration data. A system provides a user interface presenting patient medical parameter data in a trend indicative display indicating a time period comprising patient parameter acquisition time intervals. The system includes an acquisition processor for acquiring, from a patient monitoring device, data representing a parameter of a particular patient. The system also includes a selection processor for selecting a template display form from a predetermined plurality of template display forms associated with a corresponding plurality of different care units in response to a determined type of the acquired patient parameter.

  • Publication number: 20020077863
Abstract: An internet compatible system and method are presented for displaying medical information derived from a plurality of sources. Medical parameters associated with a patient are collected via a communication network, collated and stored in a relational database. A display generator responsive to a user selection operates to generate a display containing acquired patient medical data in a predetermined format along a timeline. A day indicator associated with the displayed patient medical data indicates a currently selected day and at least one of a prior day and a subsequent day relative to the currently selected day. The current day indicator has a display attribute for distinguishing between the prior or subsequent day. The timeline uses the display attribute to distinguish portions of the timeline associated with the current day from a prior or subsequent day.
