Abstract: An improved aquatic sports board is provided. The rail of the board is equipped with a plurality of apertures which are arranged in a pattern along the length of the rail. The apertures serve to reduce the drag on the bodyboard as it moves through the water.

Abstract: A method for the preparation of a cross-linked, rigid, polyethylene, foam sheet product, which method comprises heating at least one surface of a cross-linked, polyethylene, foam sheet material, to a temperature sufficient to cause a slight surface post-expansion of the foam sheet material, contacting the heated, post-expanded, foam surface with a cold metal element, to form a cross-linked, polyethylene, foam sheet product of the desired, accurate thickness, or having a desired three-dimensional design on the cross-linked, foam sheet material.

Abstract: A portable backstop has a vertically upstanding inverted first U-shaped frame including legs supported on a base and a second, smaller, U-shaped frame pivoted from an intermediate point of the legs of the inverted U-shaped frame. The frames support a bag-shaped mesh net for receiving a ball. When the backstop is unfolded for use, the second U-shaped frame extends outward and the net, attached around the upper perimeter of the frames, forms a pocket for receiving a ball. The second U-shaped frame folds upward against the first frame for transportation and storage. The backstop may be used indoors or outdoors.

Abstract: An interlockable foam pad adapted with other interlockable foam pads to form foam pad structures, such as a three-dimensional structure or a foam pad exercise mat. The foam pad comprises a core foam layer of a polyethylene foam layer, the top and bottom foam layers having a higher density than the polyethylene foam in the core foam layer, and having a thickness considerably less than the thickness of the core foam layer. The foam pad includes at least along one side edge, and typically along a plurality of side edges, a plurality of alternatingly spaced apart uniform male and female sections, and which sections are adapted to interlock together with slight hand pressure with the male and female sections of an adjacent foam pad.

Abstract: A connector for securing a leash to a sports board includes a plate having a substantially planar upper surface for receiving graphics. The plate is hinged to a flange, molded integrally with the plate, which receives the leash. The connector is inserted through the board so that the plate is substantially coplanar with an upper surface of the board and the flange extends upwardly therefrom.
