  • Patent number: 10802057
Abstract: A method for monitoring a power system includes receiving, from at least one component monitor in communication with components of the power system, a first set of readings for at least one of the power system components at an input of a central processing unit. The method also includes providing the first set of readings to be displayed in a graphical format on a user interface. A user selection of a portion of the first set of readings, and at least one user classification of the portion of the first set of readings, is received. Portions of the first set of readings are identified and removed based on the at least one user classification to generate a modified set of readings. The modified set of readings is classified by at least one characteristic, and the at least one characteristic is detected in a second set of readings.

  • Patent number: 10802081
Abstract: A method and system for analyzing waveform capture data is provided. In one aspect, the method comprises receiving, by a controller from an intelligent electronic device, waveform capture data indicative of an electrical event, extracting, from the waveform capture data, electrical event data, extracting, from memory associated with the controller, additional data, classifying the waveform capture data into a category of a plurality of categories using the electrical event data, comparing the electrical event data and the additional data to stored data, diagnosing the electrical event and a cause of the electrical event based on the comparison and providing an indication of the cause of the electrical event.

  • Patent number: 10793955
Abstract: At least one corrosion protection unit is located adjacent to a region of a structure immersed in an electrolyte. Each corrosion protection unit includes a circuit for applying rectified alternating current voltage between the structure and electrodes in the electrolyte. Each corrosion protection unit includes Reference Cells to produce direct current voltage between the Reference Cells and the structure, a measuring circuit coupled to the Reference Cells for measuring the potential between the Reference Cells and the structure, and a control circuit for controlling the level of the rectified alternating current voltage in accordance with the measured potential levels. Corrosion protection units are independent of one another, so that independently established rectified alternating current voltages are applied between different regions of the structure and e first and second corrosion protection units.

  • Patent number: 10675564
Abstract: A novel fluid filter includes a partially permeable elastic bag encapsulating a filtration medium, and providing pressure to prevent channeling. A receiver with one or more apertures fits at least partially within the filtration bag to receive treated fluid. A cover may be placed over a tube of the receiver to prevent filtration medium from exiting system. An upper portion of the filtration bag is impermeable, while the lower portion of the bag is permeable. The fluid path flows over the top and up through the lower section and through a major path through the filtration medium.

  • Publication number: 20200134167
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of registering a new user of an online system wherein the user provides a passcode, for example an ordered set of positions within a grid, user identifying information and a passcode identifier is generated, and the passcode identifier is then split into k parts using a secret sharing algorithm wherein q of the k parts are required to regenerate the passcode identifier. n of the k parts are then stored in a first location and q>n?1, m of the k parts are stored in a second location and q>m?1, p of the k parts are discarded and p?0, and the n parts and the m parts are stored with user identifying information.

  • Publication number: 20200080409
Abstract: A system and method for optimizing drilling with a rotary steerable system may monitor downhole signals associated with vibrational loads along a drill string during drilling. A downhole controller at a rotary steerable bottom-hole adapter may generate a control indication for modifying drilling parameters of a drill bit in response to detecting harmful vibrational loads for the drill string. A modification of the drilling speed and direction of the drill bit used for drilling may be performed based on the control indication.

  • Patent number: 9776899
Abstract: A water treatment system having modular-filter based residential reverse osmosis (RO) system that passes a stream of purified water through an ultraviolet light (UV) filter twice to ensure the water is sterile, while using only one UV filter, thereby forcing the water through a UV filter twice in a modular-filter based RO system. The water treatment system also includes a system whereby water passes through the UV filter at both points using only one UV filter by employing a system whereby a purified water stream is passed through a single remineralization module twice. The present invention also includes the method for treating water through such double forced sterilization system.
