  • Patent number: 11314572
Abstract: A method for providing automatic suppression of an alert includes receiving a first error associated with a first dataset, the first dataset being among a plurality of datasets in a computer data environment, accessing dependency data that describes a set of dependencies between the first dataset and other datasets, examining the dependency data to automatically identify a second dataset from among the other datasets, the second dataset being a dataset on which the first dataset depends, accessing alert data for the computer data environment to determine whether an active alert for the second dataset provides an indication that the first error is redundant to a second error associated with the second dataset, and upon determining that the first error is redundant, suppressing transmission of the alert and storing data about suppressing transmission in a data structure.

  • Publication number: 20120240789
Abstract: A fryer apparatus includes at least one cooking vessel that stores a cooking medium therein, a melter, a flow path, and a hopper pump that draws cooking medium from the melter to the cooking vessel. The melter includes a hopper that stores the cooking medium, a cradle, and a wiring. The cradle surrounds the hopper on 3 sides and the bottom, and the hopper may be removably inserted into the cradle. The cradle includes two side walls, a rear wall, and a bottom wall. A heating element is placed on an interior of each wall. When the hopper is installed in the cradle, heat is transmitted from the heating elements of the cradle through the hopper, and into the cooking medium, which allows the cooking medium to be stored at a temperature above an ambient temperature.

  • Patent number: 7440560
Abstract: A method and system for automatically providing access options to a remote user of a data network that utilizes a network-based connection analysis server to determine the “best available” connection arrangement to provide access for the remote user. The connection analysis server contains a database of empirical access/connection data based on the past experience of user's attempting to connection to remotely-located data networks (for example, success of connection, speed of connection, cost, etc.). The server initiates the inventive process by querying the remote user for geographic location information, determining access options available at the responded geographic location by comparing the geographic location to the empirical data, and then selecting a “best available” connection option (or options) to the remote user for approval.

  • Publication number: 20050198262
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing quality of service (QoS) measurements for remote-access users of a virtual private network (VPN) utilizes hardware/software at the remote VPN client to collect information related to the remote client's ability to connect to the VPN and remain connected. A centralized server is configured to query each remote client and upload the collected connection data, the server functioning to analyze the collected data to determine QoS information in terms of, for example, “VPN accessibility” (defined as success rate for connection to VPN servers), “VPN sustainability” (defined as the ability to maintain a network connection), and “VPN availability” (defined as the ability of a persistent remote-access location to maintain its network connect). The QoS measurements allow the VPN service provider to improve the experience of remote access users, generate alarms and reports, and may also be used to form service level agreements (SLAs) with such users.

  • Patent number: 5967579
Abstract: A method and reusable device for preventing or limiting the leakage of flowable material from a damaged flexible bulk container. The device includes a central panel and a plurality of flexible aprons, brought into firm engagement with the bottom and lower side, respectively, of the damaged flexible bulk container by means of elastic members. After securing the device to the damaged flexible bulk container, the container may be handled, stored and transported, with the device minimizing and containing spillage of flowable material in and about the damaged flexible bulk container. An aperture in the central panel accommodates the flexible bulk container discharge spout, and allows the contents of the container to be discharged therethrough. Other embodiments of the invention include an aperture in one of the flexible aprons to accommodate side-discharge flexible bulk containers, and extension flaps on each flexible apron to contain leakage from the upper sides of a damaged flexible bulk container.
