Patent number: 11760158Abstract: A diffusing vent assembly may include a diffuser base and a diffusing head. The diffuser base may include a mounting flange, a collar extending from the mounting flange, and a ductwork fixation channel. The collar may span an infra-ceiling space of a vehicle. The diffusing head may include a diffuser vane configuration, a rotational flange surrounding the diffuser vane configuration, and an air blade. The diffuser base and the diffusing head further comprise complementary rotational securement members that permit rotation of the diffusing head relative to the diffuser base. The air blade may extend through the collar of the diffuser base. Installing the diffusing vent assembly may include engaging the ductwork fixation channel with a supply duct, inserting the diffusing head into the diffuser base, and securing the diffusing head and the diffuser base using the complimentary rotational securement members.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 2020Date of Patent: September 19, 2023Assignee: Keystone RV CompanyInventors: Jeff Snyder, Jon Brock, Mark Bullock, Charles Retallack, Don Battles, Jr.

Patent number: 11318810Abstract: Recreational vehicles are provided with a tapered duct connector and/or a conditioned air receiving sleeve that is positioned in an infra-ceiling space of the vehicle. The tapered duct connector comprises a connector inlet coupled to a conditioned air passage on a wall of the conditioned air receiving sleeve, and a connector outlet coupled to the supply duct, to fluidly couple the sleeve to the supply duct. The tapered duct connector comprises a transitional duct height that increases from the connector outlet to the connector inlet. The conditioned air passage of the conditioned air receiving sleeve, the tapered duct connector, and the supply duct is contained such that air can pass from the conditioned air opening of the conditioned air receiving sleeve, through the conditioned air receiving sleeve, and into the supply duct without contacting structural components in the infra-ceiling space of the recreational vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2020Date of Patent: May 3, 2022Assignee: Thor Tech, Inc.Inventors: Mark Bullock, Jon Brock, Bradd Giggy, Jeff Snyder

Patent number: 8038273Abstract: An inkjet cartridge having an ink container including a venting structure with an orifice through a wall of the ink container in direct communication with a meniscus baffle extending into the interior of the ink container. An inkjet cartridge lid including serpentine trenches and orifices formed within a top surface. At least one of the serpentine trenches intersects with at least one of the orifices. The venting structure includes a corridor interposing at least two separate ink reservoirs and including opposing first and second ends. The first end of the corridor resides in communication with an external environment while the second end is partitioned to establish a separate passage in communication with each of the at least two separate ink reservoirs, each passage including a hollow extending into an interior of the ink reservoir.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2007Date of Patent: October 18, 2011Assignee: Lexmark International, Inc.Inventors: Tim Frasure, Girish Shivaji Patil, George Allan Ping, Jon Brock Whitney

Patent number: 7354137Abstract: In a system for laser welding work pieces along a collapsing weld interface, methods and apparatus include providing welding pads and/or stop projections on either or both of the work pieces to control the manner or amount of collapse. Preferably, the stop projections exist a separation distance from the weld interface while the welding pads exist at and form a portion of the weld interface. Buffers are taught between the weld interface and stop projection. The work pieces may comprise inkjet printhead lids and bodies. In another aspect, the invention teaches methods of laser welding inkjet printhead lids and bodies according to whether the inkjet printhead body embodies a mono or color ink body type and especially includes selective control of one or more laser light sources to illuminate the inkjet printhead lid in a specific pattern of light.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2004Date of Patent: April 8, 2008Assignee: Lexmark International, Inc.Inventors: James Paul Drummond, Kin-Ming Kwan, Ganesh Vinayak Phatak, Jon Brock Whitney
