Patent number: 10865736Abstract: A cascade segment for a thrust reverser, and a method of manufacturing it. The segment includes individual vane elements, modular units, and a frame. Each element includes a vane and two flanges arranged in a generally āUā shape. Each flange diverges from being perpendicular to the vane by an amount equal to a thickness of the flange over a desired spacing distance, such that when one element is inserted into another the desired spacing distance is established between their respective vanes. The units include first modular units, each of which includes a first column of the elements oriented in a first direction, and second modular units, each of which includes a second column of the elements oriented in a second direction. In the assembled segment, the first units are positioned adjacent to and alternating with the second units. The frame extends at least partly around and secures the units.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2018Date of Patent: December 15, 2020Assignee: Spirit AeroSystems, Inc.Inventors: Mark Anthony Wadsworth, Alexander Jon Carr

Patent number: 10844807Abstract: A system for actuating a blocker door of a thrust reverser, in which a drag link assembly is removed from the airflow through the engine during flight. The assembly couples the door to a sleeve so that translation of the sleeve between deployed and stowed positions moves the door to open and closed positions, respectively. The assembly includes a drag link track having a channel extending between first and second track ends, and a drag link having a link end which is slidable in the track channel between the first and second track ends. During deployment, translation of the sleeve causes the second link end to slide within the channel toward the second track end which causes the door to open, and during stowage, translation of the sleeve causes the second link end to slide within the channel toward the first track end which causes the door to close.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2018Date of Patent: November 24, 2020Assignee: Spirit AeroSystems, Inc.Inventor: Alexander Jon Carr

Patent number: 10740826Abstract: Example item reminder systems and methods are described. In one implementation, a method receives a request to create an order and receives identification of multiple items in the order. The method identifies multiple items regularly purchased by a customer but not included in the multiple items. The method also identifies a purchase frequency of the regularly purchased items. If any of the regularly purchased items are due for purchase, based on the purchase frequency, the customer is presented with an option to purchase those regularly purchased items that are due for purchase.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2014Date of Patent: August 11, 2020Assignee: WALMART APOLLO, LLCInventors: David Jon Carr, Richard Mark Ramsden

System including telescoping hidden drag link assembly for actuating blocker door of thrust reverser
Patent number: 10724473Abstract: A system for actuating a blocker door of a thrust reverser, in which a drag link assembly is removed from the airflow through the engine during flight. The assembly couples the door to a sleeve so that translation of the sleeve between deployed and stowed positions moves the door to open and closed positions, respectively. The assembly includes a telescoping drag link having one end rotatably coupled with a drag link anchor and another end coupled with the door. During deployment and stowage, translation of the sleeve causes the door to move and the link to extend or collapse and rotate until it contacts a stop element of the anchor, and then rotate in the opposite direction as the door opens or closes, respectively. A channel may be provided in the door to accommodate the link. The anchor may include a spring which exerts a rotational force on the link.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2018Date of Patent: July 28, 2020Assignee: Spirit AeroSystems, Inc.Inventor: Alexander Jon Carr -
Patent number: 10657578Abstract: Example order processing systems and methods are described. In one implementation, a method identifies an order containing multiple items and receives an indication of multiple people associated with the order. The method also receives an indication of a particular person associated with each of the multiple items. Payment information is received for each of the multiple people and that payment information is used to purchase the particular items associated with the particular person. Order processing instructions are generated that identify particular items associated with each of the multiple people.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2014Date of Patent: May 19, 2020Assignee: WALMART APOLLO, LLCInventors: David Jon Carr, Richard Mark Ramsden

Patent number: 10185984Abstract: Embodiments of a computer-implemented method and system pertaining to drive through grocery pickup are described. In one example, a computer-implemented method receives geographic information about a user. The geographic information indicates that the user is within a predetermined area associated with the physical store. The method also determines whether there is a pending remotely placed order for a user account associated with the user in a database associated with the physical store. In response to a determination that there is the pending remotely placed order for the user account associated with the user in the database, the method transmits order information to a computing device of the physical store. The order information includes one or more items in the pending remotely placed order. The method also determines a current location of the user. The method further causes a delivery of the one or more items to the current location.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 2015Date of Patent: January 22, 2019Assignee: WALMART APOLLO, LLCInventors: Jason D.
