Abstract: An example method of remote access to on-premises software executing in a data center by a cloud service executing in a public cloud includes: sending a request from the cloud service to a connection service executing in the public cloud, the request being for delegated access to the on-premises software in the data center; creating, by cooperation between the connection service and a connection agent executing in a gateway of the data center, a connection over a network between the public cloud and the data center; establishing a first local connection between the cloud service and the connection service; establishing a second local connection between the connection agent and the on-premises software; and exchanging data between the cloud service and the on-premises software over a tunnel comprising the first local connection, the connection over the network, and the second local connection.

Abstract: System and computer-implemented method for scanning software-defined data centers (SDDCs) for vulnerabilities uses at least one vulnerability detector listed on vulnerability scan definitions for the vulnerabilities to scan at least one component in each of target SDDCs. Each of the vulnerability scan definitions specifies at least one triggering condition for determining a specific vulnerability using the at least one vulnerability detector. An alert is then generated for each vulnerability found in the target SDDCs so that a remediation is performed to resolve that vulnerability.

Abstract: System and computer-implemented method for managing remote access to managed components in a cloud-based virtual computer network uses a virtual jumpbox infrastructure to establish a cryptographic network protocol connection between the virtual jumpbox infrastructure and the cloud-based virtual computer network on behalf of an user interface making a request for remote access to the cloud-based virtual computer network. After the cryptographic network protocol connection has been established, communication data between the user interface and a target managed component in the cloud-based virtual computer network is automatically moderated at the virtual jumpbox infrastructure at a data path that is not within the cryptographic network protocol connection. The automatic moderation includes at least one of inserting new information into the communication data and removing existing information from the communication data.

Abstract: A method for assessing events detected by a surveillance system includes assessing the likelihood that the events correspond to events being monitored from feedback in response to a condition set by a user. Classifiers are created for the events from the feedback. The classifiers are applied to allow the surveillance system improve its accuracy when processing new video data.

Abstract: A secure electronic mailbox is provided to a customer having an electronic account. The electronic account links the secure electronic mailbox to a physical address of the customer. The customer can send and receive secure and non-secure messages via the secure electronic mailbox. The customer can also access electronic services such as electronic bill presentment and payment using the secure electronic mailbox.

Abstract: A method of converting a signature into an authorization for an item of value in lieu of cash, the method including the steps of transmitting a request, comprising a digitized signature and an amount requested by the user, to a service provider with whom the user has an account; validating the request; and generating for the user an authorization wherein the authorization may be used in lieu of money in the amount authorized.
