  • Patent number: 10163330
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to a method of operating a customer interface device (CID). The method includes: receiving a request from a customer to access a secure portion of an online system; establishing an encrypted channel to an authentication system of the online system. The method also includes: outputting a prompt to the customer to provide a spoken passphrase of the customer; capturing the spoken passphrase of the customer to generate a recording; and providing, via the encrypted channel, credentials of the customer to an authentication system of the online system, wherein the credentials include the recording. The method further includes; receiving, via the encrypted channel, an indication of approval of the credentials of the customer from the authentication system; and establishing, via the encrypted channel, a secure mode pass-through connection to the secure portion of the online system.

  • Patent number: 10008102
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to systems and method for monitoring and preserving radio-frequency (RF) signals for security applications, such as home, vehicle, personal, or business security applications. An example customer interface device (CID) includes sensing circuitry configured to detect radio-frequency (RF) communication signals near an asset associated with the CID. The CID is configured to locally store information regarding the detected RF communication signals. When the CID determines that a trigger event has occurred, the CID may provide an online service with the information regarding the RF communication signals detected near the asset around the time of the trigger event to be preserved for later analysis.

  • Patent number: 8990583
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed a digital investigation tool capable of recovering and decrypting content. The tool combines digital techniques with decryption capability for a wide range of encryption algorithms. In one implementation, the tool identifies the type and/or vendor of the encryption algorithm used to protect the content. The tool then automatically obtains the decryption information needed to decrypt the content. Depending on the encryption algorithm used, the information may include a master key, user-specific keys, user IDs, passwords, and the like. The decryption information may be accumulated in a local or remote storage location accessible by the tool, or it may be acquired in real time on an as-needed basis from a third-party encryption vendor, a key server, and the like. Such an arrangement allows law enforcement agencies as well as corporate security personnel to quickly recover and decrypt content stored on a computer system.
