  • Patent number: 11947000
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for compact radar systems. In some examples, a compact radar system can include a first set of transmit antennas, a second set of receive antennas, one or more processors, and at least one computer-readable storage medium storing computer-executable instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the radar system to coordinate digital beam steering of the first set of transmit antennas and the second set of receive antennas, and coordinate digital beam forming with one or more of the second set of receive antennas to detect one or more objects within a distance of the radar system.

  • Publication number: 20240016272
Abstract: A compression-expansion device for an article of luggage and luggage comprising same is disclosed. In one embodiment, the device comprises a base comprising axially-disposed, spaced-apart, parallel passageways; a latch pivotably disposed on the base between the passageways and having a tongue projection; an expansion body comprising conduit members slidably mated to the passageways, bias members located within the passageways and conduit members which urge the expansion body and base away from each other; an opening in the expansion body configured to receive the tongue in a first compressed position; and a button engaged with the opening and moveable to contact the tongue and displace it from the first position to a second position whereby the expansion body and the base assume an expanded configuration as urged by the bias members.

  • Publication number: 20240016271
Abstract: A compression expansion device for an article of luggage and luggage comprising same is disclosed. In one particular practice: the device comprises a base section disposed in sliding relation with an expansion body engaged with each other by coil springs. A flexible portion on either the base section or expansion body comprises a ridge which rests on a complimentary ledge on the other of the base section or expansion body to assume a compressed configuration. A glide switch comprising one or more push projections contacts the flexible portion to displace the ridge off the ledge causing the base and expansion body to move away from each other and assume an expanded configuration.

  • Publication number: 20170283306
Abstract: Glass composite coating systems herein may be used for industrial applications serving as a chemical barrier against substrate oxidation or other deterioration by corrosive agents, may prevent material build-up in process piping and equipment, may provide for improved bonding strength between concrete and reinforcing media, and may inhibit microbial build-up on exposed surfaces. Traditionally, glass coatings are emplaced on relatively pristine, pre-prepared surfaces. Glass composite coating systems described herein may be bonded to untreated substrates, without the need to clean, polish and/or pre-treat the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20130213838
Abstract: A holder for electronic devices such as tablet computers is disclosed, the holder being made of a semi-stiff board (i.e., “PE” board or the like), covered by a soft fabric, vinyl, leather or the like. The holder includes four corner gripping devices which have a unique dimension and configuration which facilitates gripping each respective of a generally rectangular shaped electronic device for snugly retaining the device. Each corner gripping device is attached to an elastic band which may be woven or knitted. The holder is in turn attached, preferably by stitching to a foldable cover in a manner which permits the holder to pivot with respect to the cover so as to prop the holder view, of the electronic device.
