    Abstract: A kit assembly for converting a gemstone supporting head unit between alternate use configurations with jewelry not limited to any of a ring, pendent, brooch or bracelet. A head unit includes a plurality of upper setting prongs for supporting and securing a gemstone. The head unit can incorporate an underside engagement pattern or can be soldered onto a separate upper core. In a first variant, and upon pre-positioning the head unit in a supported fashion upon the jewelry item, a screw inserts through the open underside and engages at least opposing threads formed within the head unit. In a second variant, a lower core is attached or soldered to the jewelry item and inter-engages the upper core via the underside inserting screw.
