  • Publication number: 20240086446
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide systems, methods, apparatus, and computer-readable storage media that support identifying overruled in part content based on citationally related content. The most relevant passage, content, paragraph and the like, may be identified out of the citationally related content by providing extracted features as input data to trained machine learning classifiers to generate probability values. A ranking approach may be used where the content or paragraphs of an opinion may be selected as most relevant based on the generated probability values. In some implementations, a machine learning modeling approach may be used for both the overruling side and the overruled side of the content by leveraging different features and the relationship between the overruling document and the overruled document.

Abstract: Controllers and methods of bulk explosive loading systems are disclosed. A controller of a bulk explosive loading system includes a communication interface configured to communicate with a human-machine interface (HMI). The HMI is configured to execute a software program configured to enable the HMI to receive user inputs from a user. The controller also includes control outputs to output control signals to electrically controllable components. The controller further includes sensor inputs configured to receive sensor signals from sensors configured to monitor the bulk explosive loading system. The controller also includes a processor configured to process recipe information received from the HMI, generate the control signals based on the recipe information to control the electrically controllable components to blend the mixture, process the sensor signals received during blending of the mixture, and transmit blending information to the HMI device.

  • Patent number: 9866148
Abstract: An illustrative electrostatic machine includes a shaft that is configured to rotate about an axis, a rotor electrode, and a stator electrode. The rotor electrode and the stator electrode are separated by a gap and form a capacitor. The rotor electrode is fixed to the shaft. The electrostatic machine can also include a housing that is configured to enclose the rotor electrode, the stator electrode, and at least a portion of the shaft. The stator electrode is fixed to the housing. A dielectric fluid fills a void defined by the housing, the rotor electrode, and the stator electrode.

  • Patent number: 9479085
Abstract: Capacitive machines generate torque, generate electric power, and/or transmit electrical signals using closely spaced parallel plates wherein one plate is in motion relative to the other. Closer plate spacing, and thus greater power capacity, is obtained by defining flexures at or near the locations where the plates are anchored to their actuators or mountings, and by defining walls which obstruct fluid flow between one or more of the plates. As one plate is set in motion parallel to the other, thereby inducing fluid flow between the plates, the flow generates a fluid pressure distribution which tends to maintain the plates in spaced relation. In response to the pressure, the flexures allow the plates—which may be out of parallel—to displace and/or tilt from their nominal positions into close parallel relation, thereby providing better capacitance (and thus better torque/power/signal transmission).

  • Publication number: 20060101098
Abstract: A customer service center or other facility receives session imitation protocol (SIP) messages transmitted from a web services user agent on behalf of a user network device. The customer service center is equipped with a session initiation protocol-enabled presence server that retrieves information about a SIP registered user, and adds information about the user (e.g., the user's name) on selected buddy lists subscribed to by customer service representatives. Customer service representatives are able to establish SIP media sessions with users appearing on their buddy lists by, for example, clicking on the user's name.

  • Publication number: 20060098624
Abstract: A web services user agent is automatically downloaded to a user's network device in response to a user's request for a login web page associated with a web site (e.g., a web site of a company associated with a customer service center). When the user presents his or her login information (e.g., a username and password), the web services user agent automatically uses the user's login information to generate a session initiation protocol registration message. The web services user agent then automatically transmits the SIP registration message to a SIP server associated with a customer service center. Information about the user, such as the identity of the user and the current URL being browsed by the user, can then be displayed on the devices of one or more customer service representatives.

  • Publication number: 20050094578
Abstract: A video conferencing terminal includes an encoder that receives a baseband audio signal and a baseband video signal and creates compressed audio packets and compressed audio-video packets. A network interface driver receives the compressed audio packets and the compressed audio-video packets, IP encapsulates the compressed audio packets and the compressed audio-video packets, transmits the IP packets onto an IGMP network. The network interface driver also requests audio packets and audio-video packets from the network and recovers compressed audio packets and compressed audio-video packets from the IP packets received from the network. A decoder receives compressed audio packets and compressed audio-video packets from the network interface driver and generates a baseband video signal and multiple baseband audio signals.
