Abstract: A re-keyable door lock assembly includes a re-keyable rotor having first and second ends, the first end configured to receive a key, the second end terminating in an endpiece. A tailpiece having an actuation end is configured for axial movement between a first axial position in which the actuation end engages the endpiece and a second axial position in which the actuation end is disengaged from the endpiece, wherein the tailpiece is rotatable by the rotor from an unlocked position to a locking position when the rotor is rotated by a key from a first rotational position to a second rotational position when the actuation end of the tailpiece is engaged with the endpiece, and wherein the rotor is rotatable past the second rotational position to a third rotational position only when the actuation end of the tailpiece is disengaged from the endpiece.
