  • Publication number: 20200356342
Abstract: A method to allow for asynchronous speech recognition for a primary application's use is provided. The method comprises evoking a primary application and a client device APP to work with a remote hosted application to process audio for the primary application. The APP connects to the hosted application, and if successful, the processing proceeds. If the APP cannot connect to the hosted application, the APP generates an input data file and a context file. The input data file may be an audio file in certain embodiments to record audio of a user dictating to the client device's microphone.

  • Publication number: 20200111548
Abstract: A method, apparatus, or system for verifying the delivery of home health care is provided. The method, apparatus, or system includes obtaining information relating to at least one of a provider name, a location of treatment, a date of treatment, and a patient name from a billing application. Similar information is obtained from an electronic health record and/or data appended or associated with the electronic health record. A comparison between the billing application and electronic health record data provides data to verify the delivery of the home health care by the identified health care provider to the patient.

  • Patent number: 9240185
Abstract: A distributed dictation/transcription system is provided. The system provides a client station, dictation manager, and dictation server connected such that the dictation manager can select a dictation server to transcribe audio from the client station. The dictation manager has a data port to at least receive and transmit audio, and receive and transmit data or text. A job queue at the dictation manager holds the audio to be provided to the dictation servers. When the dictation manager identifies an available dictation server, the dictation manager reviews all jobs in the queue. If a job in the queue has a user profile that has been previously uploaded to the available dictation server, the dictation manager transmits the audio to the dictation server.

  • Patent number: 8412522
Abstract: A distributed dictation/transcription system is provided. The system provides a client station, dictation manager, and dictation server connected such that the dictation manager can select a dictation server to transcribe audio from the client station. A job queue at the dictation manager holds the queues the audio to be provided to the dictation servers. The dictation manager reviews all jobs in the job queue and send audio with a user profile matching a user profile already uploaded to the dictation server regardless of whether the matching audio is next in the job queue. If alternative audio has been pending over a predetermined amount of time or has a higher priority, the alternative audio is sent to the dictation server.

  • Patent number: 8412523
Abstract: A distributed dictation/transcription system is provided. The system provides a client station, dictation manager, and dictation server networked such that the dictation manager selects a dictation server to transcribe audio from the client station. The dictation manager selects one of a plurality of dictation servers based on conventional load balancing and on a determination of whether the user profile is already uploaded to a dictation server. While selecting a dictation server or uploading a profile, the client may begin dictating, which audio would be stored in a buffer of dictation manager until a dictation server was selected or available. The user may receive in real time or near real time a display of the textual data that may be corrected by the user to update the user profile.

The system provides a client station, dictation manager, and dictation server networked such that the dictation manager can select a dictation server to transcribe audio from the client station. The dictation manager selects one of a plurality of dictation servers based on conventional load balancing as well as on a determination of which of the dictation servers may already have a user profile uploaded. Moreover, while selecting a dictation server and/or uploading a profile, the user or client at the client station may begin dictating, which audio would be stored in a buffer of dictation manager until a dictation server was selected and/or available. The user would receive in real time or near real time a display of the textual data that may be corrected by the user. The corrective textual data may be transmitted back to the dictation manager to update the user profile.

  • Publication number: 20040255490
Abstract: An article of apparel (1, 601) has a chamber (9, 605) and a light source (11, 607) for illuminating the chamber with Light. The chamber (9) contains particles (900) which can scatter or reflect light from the light sources and has a window (9a) through which the effect of the particles (900) on the light from the light sources (11) can be viewed. Alternatively, the chamber (605) contains a light affecting means (606, 901, 1001) for reflecting, refracting or diffracting light from the light source (607). The light affecting means (606, 901, 1001) is moved by a hydraulic system (800) or vibrates in response to motion of the article of apparel (601).
