  • Publication number: 20260009222
Abstract: A shutter mounting bracket device is provided. The device is comprised of a secure and weather-resistant method for installing outdoor shutters without damaging siding. The device comprises a bracket with a flat mounting portion that anchors to the sheathing beneath the siding, a curved attachment portion that extends through the siding joint, a fastening screw for stability, a threaded shutter fastener for securing the shutter, and a protective grommet to prevent moisture infiltration. The bracket is constructed from corrosion-resistant materials such as galvanized steel or aluminum, while the grommet is made from neoprene or silicone for durability. The design eliminates the need to drill into siding for shutter installation, making it suitable for vinyl, aluminum, or fiber cement siding, where direct drilling could cause long-term damage.

  • Publication number: 20110060806
Abstract: A policy enforcement point (PEP) controls access to a network in accordance with one or more policy statements that specify conditions for compliant devices. The PEP receives current health data from a device seeking to access the network, and stores this health data in local volatile memory. If the health data stored in local volatile memory complies with the policy statements, the device is permitted to access the network. Otherwise, the device is denied access to the network, or permitted only limited access to the network in order to resolve its compliance issues. The PEP occasionally stores the health data in local persistent memory and on an online service (OLS). During reboot, the PEP accesses the OLS to confirm that it has the most recent health data. If more recent health data is available from the OLS, the OLS provides this more recent data to the PEP.

  • Patent number: 6326903
Abstract: The present invention discloses a system that allows operators of emergency vehicles to obtain graphic data regarding other emergency vehicles that may pose threats of collision. Automatic signaling takes place between emergency vehicles within range of each other to transmit directional data regarding the direction of travel of each emergency vehicle. This data is correlated to derive directional vectors relative to each other. These vectors are displayed so that the operator can quickly determine the direction of other vehicles with respect to his own. The system includes equipment for preempting traffic signals by selected emergency vehicles, and for informing other emergency vehicles that a traffic signal has been preempted.

  • Patent number: 5448808
Abstract: A plastic zipper slider having hinged wings is provided with an improved latch tongue which is deflected downward to snap in place. Additional flexible latch web structure cooperates with the latch tongue to provide additional forces which are active in assuring that the wings are fully latched and to also provide additional resistance to unlatching the wings.
