Abstract: A dehumidifying hair dryer comprising: a housing having an air handling assembly carried by the housing; a filter included in air handling assembly configured to receive ambient air from an inlet end wherein the filter is removable from the air handling assembly; an evaporator coil configured to receive air from the first filter; a condenser coil configured to receive air from the evaporator coil; a first fan configured to move air from an ambient location through the air handling assembly; a heating element configured to receive air from the condenser coil; and, a second fan configured to move air into a hood. A dehumidifier can be included to remove moisture from the ambient air thereby requiring less heating for faster drying times.
