  • Publication number: 20160180226
Abstract: A method of evaluating correlation between sequences by employing a hierarchy of evaluation algorithms. The evaluation algorithms may be arranged in order of computational efficiency as specified by a user or as determined by the system. The algorithms may range from a simple equality algorithm through to seeded alignment algorithms etc. Distributed and parallel processing systems may be employed in the method of the invention in graphical processing units may be employed. The method may be employed with a wide range of sequencers including sequencers produced by Illumina Inc Complete Genomics Inc. and Pacific Biosciences Inc.

  • Patent number: 8386061
Abstract: Methods and systems for producing customized dental restoration and prosthesis, particularly denture prescriptions using a computer software program are provided. In this system, digital photographs of the patient to be fitted with the denture are taken, and the photographs are transferred to the software program. Based on these photographs, the program makes certain calculations. The program then prompts the dental professional to select the desired materials and structure for the denture. Based on this input, the program automatically produces a prescription for the denture. The digital prescription is sent to a dental laboratory for making the denture.

  • Patent number: 7862252
Abstract: A vehicle barrier system. The vehicle barrier system includes a base, an arm hingably mechanically coupled to the base, a raising/lowering mechanism in mechanical communication with the arm, and a cable supported by the arm, the cable mechanically coupled to first and second anchors placed on opposite sides of an area through which a vehicle may pass, and the raising/lowering mechanism moves the arm and the cable between a first position and a second position.

  • Publication number: 20060017357
Abstract: A storage device and its method of use comprises a first door and a second door spaced relative to one another so as to define a storage area therebetween. Each of the first and second doors have an open position to permit access to the storage area and a closed position to enclose the storage area. The first door is linked to the second door such that when the first door is in the open position the second door is in the closed position and when the first door is in the closed position the second door is in the open position.

  • Publication number: 20060018802
Abstract: A system for storing labware. The system includes a frame that has a plurality of storage structures such as storage hotels included therein. Each of the storage structures may be configured to store one or more types of labware and may be configured to store different distributions of the types of labware. Each storage structure is also removable from the frame, thereby allowing for reconfiguration of the labware storage system. Also, a method of configuring a labware storage system.

  • Publication number: 20060006774
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention has a side panel with integrated shelving members and integrated locating members, both folded from the side panel. One method of fabricating the shelving members involves cutting a template of the shelving members and locating members onto the side panel and then folding the cut portions of the side panel to form shelving members and locating members.
